What do you guys consider to be under appreciated guns

^^^AMT has enjoyed more appreciation as the years go by..due to people forgetting or not knowing how ammo sensitive and picky they were^^^

Got we'll over 10,000 rounds through mine. I can count the number of ftf's on one hand. Reliable enough for me. That reminds me I should really order some new springs for it. I'm still on the originals.

That's great, I remember the Arcadia products being very sensitive. Is that 10,000 rounds of one brand, perhaps?

Either way I still want one if I was honest with myself!!

As far as make goes, Rossi, is probably the most underrated. I know there are a few lemons, but I haven't had one.

If you took models of one popular manufacturers, the Sigma line at S&W is underrated. The only thing wrong with these guns is the heavy trigger pull.

And 1911 aficionados rarely think of the S&W 1911's. But I've had a couple of them, and like them every bit as much as my Kimber. Maybe better.

S&W SD series, Bersa full size and Ultra Compact 9mm and up, and Makarovs. All great reliable pistols and relatively inexpensive as well.

Multiple brands and reloads.

The Kel Tec 3AT. It's the tiny gun that started the .380 pocket gun craze. Think of how many guns we wouldn't have if Kel Tec wasn't around. I like encouraging innovation.

I know they have had some issues but that goes with the territory when you're creating something new. And they are very inexpensive. And many of them are completely reliable.

As Good As Colt

Norinco 1911's are every bit as god as Colts series 70's-I have owned both and still have the Norinco-I traded in the Colt many years ago on a Sig P226-bad mistake. The Norinco has never hiccuped and is easy to reassemble.I have had a Kimber,Taurus,Colt Series 80,Rock Island,Springfield Armory(EMP),S&W,and Argentine Army 1911's.Believe it or not the Kimber sucked for reliability although was very accurate.TheTaurus just sucked.

Ruger Speed Six

I carried one of these as a duty firearm and it was a great revolver-I wish I could find one today-we used all kinds of hot ammo and it stood up very well-the 2 3/4" barrel was no deficit at 25 yards.I own an SP 101 in 327 magnum and while I have no complaints with the SP 101 I still think the Speed Six is better.

There are a few of them listed here on gunbroker.com. The Speed-Six and Security-Six were quality revolvers, but were eventually replaced with the GP-100 series which I think was indeed an advancement, but I know not everyone will share that sentiment.

Hope you are able to eventually track one down.

FN handguns. Everybody knows FN makes top notch products and people rave about the scar 17 and their great barrels. Very few people seem to give there handguns a second look though. Fully ambidextrous controls, great ergos, reliable, and available in striker and hammer fired versions. What's not to like?

Bersa may make a decent handgun but a pox on them and any other gun manufactures with "thumb rest" type grips that can only be held if you are righthanded.

I believe the Tanfoglio Witness line (Witness Elite; Witness Stock, and Stock II) are bargains for what they are. The Tanfoglio Limited and Gold Team guns are fantastic guns too, but they are in the +$1000 catagory - not cheap.

If you want a lot of gun for your money, these models of Tanfoglios can't be beat. If you want a worthless lifetime warranty, then buy a Taurus. If you want to chit chat with "customer service" because you think your local gunsmith is evil, then buy a Ruger.

There are a lot, but Taurus must be at the top of the list. Sure they have had some issues with quality control, and people write them up here as a form of catharsis. What most don't consider is the shear number of guns that they sell every month. As a percentage of bad guns to total sales, I'd bet there are a number of other brands that exceed Taurus in problems. I'm not a shill for Taurus and I'm don't care to change anybody's mindset, but IMHO Taurus gets a bad rap.
