What do you guys consider to be under appreciated guns

Gimme' a second to finish putting my flame proof suit on.

There, all set.

Speaking STRICTLY from my own experience, both my Taurus PT738 and my PT709 Slim have been flawless, right out of the box. 500 trouble free rounds from the PT738 and approaching 1000 (950 to be exact) from my PT709 and they just keep going "bang" every time I pull the trigger.

Another vote for CZ75. Most people give you a funny look when you mention the classic Czech-mate.

Another is the Browning High-Power (P35.) It's always overshadowed by it's older brother, but there are those among us that thinks it's a better pistol. (JMB included)

Hi-Point.
If you don't own one your missing the boat.
Yes, I own much nicer pistols. No, I don't mean the Glock I carry.

The Stoeger Cougar, FEG, and some other surplus are nice, but the hi-point is a better utilitarian value in new production.

Every web site I have been to sing the praises of the CZ 75's, so I would not say they are under appreciated. I would not say that they were under priced either.

I have a Diamondback DB9 that has been a great pocket gun, but you don't hear much about them.

Somebody stated non 1911(ish) Stars
I think they are very under appreciated
Great shooters can still be had around 300.00
This one I picked up last year was a quite a bit less than that and not a single hiccup.

Another vote for the Beretta PX4. Loved it from the minute I picked it up. Feels great in the hand and shoots really well.

Another one for Arcus 98DAC
No fails, accurate and relatively cheap on your market.
Here mine's:

Brands; Para-USA.....

There are a few brands I've owned or used that I don't think get enough credit in the US shooting sports/defense circles;
CZ/CZ75 9x19mm: This is 9mm pistol in use all over the modern world for many years. It's all steel & very well made. I'd buy a NIB CZ85 pistol to carry or use for target shooting if I could.
Beretta PX4 series; I purchased a new 9x19mm C format PX4 Storm in 2009. It was very made, had low recoil, good firepower(17rds), was balanced, and the price was decent($500.00 new). M&Ps, XDs & Glocks have a huge share of the defense pistol market but there's nothing wrong with the Beretta PX4 models.
Ruger GP/GP100; I owned a GPNY surplus revolver in the 2000s. GP models are robust, easy to clean/service & can handle 1000s of rounds. They are a great value compared to the more well known S&W double action revolvers.

I'd add that Para Ord no longer exists. It's now a US firm; Para-USA. :D

Another vote for Bersa... when my wife was shopping for a small CCW pistol, we shot a Bersa thunder 380, and I was just so impressed by the build quality, solid design, and overall shootability of that little pistol. Especially for the price. We liked it far better than the more expensive Sig 232. Eventually she decided she wanted something more potent than a 380, but that is no reflection on the bersa.

I would also have to say that Glock is under appreciated... I know this will get a laugh from many people, but seriously... Glock has a few fanbois who slather mindless praise on the brand, and their knee-jerk reaction is to any firearm question is "Glock is the greatest"... you can tell these people because when they tell you they own a Glock(s), they add a stupid smiley face :D... as if we are all so impressed down here on earth by their awesome gun-choosing wisdom.

But the irritating rantings of these fanbois causes a lot of people to be turned off by Glock, and to dismiss the whole brand without serious consideration. For those people who dismiss Glock because of the obnoxious fanbois, or Glocks corporate stupidity, or simply because it is so popular with folks who don't know much... I would say that Glock is under appreciated... get pass the obnoxious fans, and you find a really effective gunfighting tool. After shooting a number of other striker fired pistols, I come back to my Glocks and think... "Those others are nice, but they are not really better, just different".

Daewoo autos.

I have never owned one, but the latest iteration of the S&W Sigma autos are said to be quite reliable.

The old single action revolvers made for Herters by JP Sauermare great guns.

There was a while there when S&W model 28's and Ruger Security Sixes fell in this category, but those days have passed. The same thing happened to third generation S&W autos at the height of the "plastic revolution" but it also seems to have passed.

Tanfoglio Witness, mostly because of poor customer support by the importer. "Great pistols but EAA sucks if anything goes wrong" seems to be the refrain.

Since July 2008 my Beretta PX4 has given flawless service with a large variety of ammo in a large variety of conditions. I don't own anything I trust more. It's the one gun I know works 100% of the time.

There was a time a few years go where it seemed like Beretta, PX4 and 92 alike, was getting a lot of internet flak, but that seems to have subsided and they're acknowledged by most as a top-tier gun quality-wise, even if they aren't for everyone's hand or shooting style preferences.

I like my new RIA a lot for the price, but those are rather popular anymore, not really underappreciated.

Maybe the Ruger P-series. They aren't pretty, and now they're cancelled, but they're really solid.

Back in the early 1990s, the SW 39xx and 59xx pistols were really under valued. Police agencies were dumping them, and everyone was switching to sexier pistols like Beretta 92, Glock, Sig, 1911, or anything in 40SW.... Same with the civie market: Back then you could not have given me a 5906 except that I would have used it as a trade-in on a Glock 19 or a Sig 226. I was young and bought into every new firearm fad.

Wow times have changed, and with hindsight we now know how great those pistols were, particularly the aluminum framed 39xx series.

Walther firearms, specifically the P99, PPS, and the PPQ have never really gained any traction in the US, and I have no clue why not, they're great guns.
