On the RIA
I think they are still very well known as a good value.
However to stick to the "under appreciated" theme I would have to say they are quite the opposite. Very appreciated as a solid value firearm
Unfamiliar, unseen, under appreciated. The Benelli MP95 Atlanta .22LR Olympic-class pistol, plinker and ultra-cool looking design. My wife and I each have one and I smile every time I see it.
To wit:
I don't know.
beretta PX4s are pretty darned good, rarely come up in conversation.
I haven't actually shot one but Arcus 98s that I've dryfired have been pretty exemplary despite their poor reputation.
Ballaster Molina .45s. Argentina Colt knock off of sorts that's built like a tank and will fire forever as long as you make sure it has the right springs.
interesting that you should bring up the ballister molina. I just got a M1938 for my little brother and even though that thing has zero finish left, the grips are rotten and the barrel has no rifling left it still has some decent accuracy.
The Sig 2022 always takes second to the P226/9 despite it still being a great gun. 1911'a made by RIA. S&W 22A is a decent little 22 for the price, but lots of people overlook it. M9's often take a lot of flak from military guys that have used the crappy, old, and ill-kept ones that the military has, but they are actually good guns.
Steyr's most recent line. Even though I'm not a huge striker fan there's lot to like. Accurate, great triggers, reliable, low bore axis, great balance, great ergo's, and very good quality.
