What current production Revolver would you get?

Would love to shoot the new Smith & Wesson Model 929 Jerry Miculek revolver that was just put out by the performance center.

If I could only get one more, it'd be an sp101 in .327Mag ......

I'll get one, eventually .....just so many things on the list of demands ahead of it ....

What a hard choice to make!

If the question was "You do not own any revolvers at all, and you can only buy one current production revolver, what would it be?"

I Would have to say.... a 4" .357 Mag in either a Stainless Ruger GP100, a stainless S&W 686 (6-shot) or a S&W 586 (because S&W blue guns are purtty). Most likely I would pick the Gp100 because I like Ruger revolvers. So, I say a 4" GP100.

If the question was " You can only get one more current production revolver to add to the revolvers you already own, which would it be?"

I would have to say I most likely would go with a stainless Ruger Blackhawk 9mm/.357 convertible with the long 6.57" barrel. Great looking, well made, can shoot three different calibers, very accurate and I think its really cool. So, that would be my choice under the second question format.

Anything other than Smith & Wesson. We shouldn't be supporting them until they go back to making a quality product. Their machining and their finishes are completely unacceptable, as are the way they pander to anti-gun politicians by installing "locks" on their revolvers. Unless the customer takes a stand and says NO MORE, S&W will continue to produce and market "cut corners" crap.

In a Magnum? Ruger GP100.

In a rimfire? Ruger SP101-22

I have 4 S&W Revolvers, all new production, and the Ruger revolvers are superior, and less expensive. My opinion.

Since I'm not completely tickled with much of anything in new production- I would like to bring home a Uberti Cattleman in .44-40WCF. I wish they would chamber a Remington 1890 in that caliber.

I don't know if I actually want one,,,

I don't know if I actually want one,,,
But I would surely like to put some rounds through the new S&W Model 69.

It's a Plain-Jane S&W as far as looks go,,,
But I really like the .44 Special cartridge for play and defense.

There is something very business-like about that cartridge.

I bought a 6" bbl Smith and Wesson 617 last fall.

It's so nice I think it needs a companion so I hope to get a S&W 617 with a 4" bbl to go with it.
