What clothing am i missing that may help conceal my ccw?

Hawaiian shirts

"anyone that wears flowery hawaiian shirts outside of hawaii screams gun"

Actually where I live, Hawaiin shirts are worn year round. They are worn around the house and to work as casual attire. I've seen $100 hawaiian shirts and $10 hawaiian shirts.

I'd say the $100 silk shirts would cause more printing because they are definitely "looser", if that's even a word.

(And before anyone gives me grief, I don't own any hawaiin shirts).

Hawaiian shirts are quite common in southern California and much of the southwest; nobody thinks anything of them. In less warm climates, though, they can be a bit obvious.

Best for me is the Smart Carry rotated around about 4pm position right side just slightly above the belt line. With this I can wear a T or polo shirt (or any other shirt)and no print. Actually fairly comfortable with M&Pc and easily accessible. No issue in the car seat also. This better than IWB or OWB at least for me...I hate the feeling a stuffing in your pants or the bulk of an OWB.

For me the key to concealed carry is the soft, light, plush fleece vest.

I wear these over a light t-shirt if the weather is cool. If the weather is warm I just wear a t-shirt.

When the weather is really cold I put on a warm jacket over the vest and t-shirt which allows for concealment. Once inside I can remove the warm jacket and the vest still provides more than adequate concealment.

I will wear either jeans or Dockers 100% of the time and this layering combo with a t-shirt, the vest, and a jacket provides me with concealment 100% of the time as well.

Good suggestion on that vest, the Ohio weather has been screwy and making me over heat wearing jackets.
Seriously 70f this whole last week in the middle of Nov? WTH? Global warming must be real.
Those vests long enough to cover an OWB pancake holster? Plus if i add one i can extend how long i can wear these lighter jackets i have that are so nice and long.

I do serously have an issue once the cold 0f days start,i normally wear a formal style heavy lined motorcycle jacket. But its a waist lenght jacket and will not cover a pancake and im not looking forward to IWB again. But i guess ill either have to buy a new jacket or get used to IWB again and buy a few more comfy holsters.

Oddly enough every time i go shopping for jackets to cover my pancake holsters i always have them on and wouldn't dare expose my weapon and i try it on over my existing jacket.
I do get some funny looks doing that, but not half as funny if they had seen what i was hiding. :)

Try carrying iwb cross-draw.
I find it to be more comfortable, and any un-tucked shirt will hide it well (I pretty much always wear a t-shirt and jeans and don't think I've ever been made, even by family members or friends, who I know would absolutely say something if they noticed.
Besides, I think you're worrying too much about it. The only people who would ever notice if you printed a little are other people who carry.
Just do what's comfortable and don't worry about it.

With a Beltman tapered belt and a Comp Tac IWB I carry my Sp101 strongside for 3 seasons. The Badger grips really help too. I wear normal shirts that fit me, nothing that I wouldn't wear if I wasn't CCW.
Winter pullovers allow much more flexability and even an N frame Smiff & Wesson. :)

Jeans work fine.

Although I've always tucked my shirt, I've found a T-shirt tucked, a IWB holster and a unbuttoned and untucked outer light long sleeve works great for concealing it.

Windy days are a huge pain, but anymore I naturally hold my arm closer/etc. and keep it from blowing much.

I've worn "hawaiian" style shirts for years, mostly Tommy Bahamma camp shirts. I just recently started carrying-I guess I was sub consciously wanting to carry for some time according to some of you folks-lol!
I carry and wear what I'm comfortable in, seems to work so far, I'm real happy with my crossbreed!

CCW Winter Clothing in CO

On mild winter days here in Colorado I wear jeans, tucked-in T-shirt and untucked, unbuttoned flannel shirt over. Behind the flannel, I wear a thicker belt with a CID holster from Simply Rugged holding my full sized 1911 at the 4:00 position. At 9:00 is a Simply Rugged magazine holder for my spare, and also seems to balance the weight some. The flannel hides it all beautifully. I have heard that many use the same rig with an untucked T instead of the flannel in warm weather. Should work, I'd just want something between my skin and the grip of my gun.

Simply Rugged also makes nice belts and can tool a holster to match your BBQ gun, or make you a plain holster for CCW- what ever you want made to order.

Here in Texas wearing camo clothing year round is nothing new and was being done long before the Concealed Handgun Licenses were ever thought of. I used to wear them quite often before I started carrying 15 years ago myself. These days I wear the Dickies line of patterned work shirts. They work great to break up any lines that might show printing. I have about 10 different patterns and buying them fro Wally world makes them very affordable as well. Here is one and me carrying a 4" Wilson Combat 1911 in a Milt Sparks Versa Max 2 IWB holster.

I plan on a few flannels and that vest i can wear over them.I think that wouldn't look too odd,but who knows i not very good with "outfits"

Luckily Ohio is in a nice 50f weather spurt so its been nice carrying with my Pancakes.

Hawaiian shirts are commonly worn here and don't mean anything about carry status. Maybe it's a regional thing.

I like Western shirts...they usually have a crazy pattern that breaks up the outline of the gun, and they tend to switch the cloth pattern by 45 degrees on the shoulders and pockets, which helps break up the "lump" from a shoulder rig, and they almost all have long tails.

A good pair of Carharrts with a slightly large, tails-out western shirt makes me look fairly innocuous...although I understand not everyone can handle looking the part of a farmhand.

CC at work

Here at the bike shop the UD (uniform of the day) in strictly casual. Fall/Winter it's jeans and T-shirts. Spring/ Summer it's cargo shorts and T-shirts and, at times tank tops. Fall/ winter I carry in a Kramer gun shirt. Weapon (currently a CAT9; soon to be replaced with an XD9 when funds become available) fits comfortably and discreetly under left armpit. Extra mag fits nicely into holster under right armpit. All that covered by T-shirt. In Summer the gunshirt gets too hot. Gun in cargo pocket of shorts works ok here in the shop.

Forgot to mention that I have carried a Glock 19, a Rossi .357, and even a 1911 in the gunshirt. A slim sub compact works best though.
