Sorry guys... I'm as grim as a Gargoyle. Its genetic. I was nicknamed The Judge by my family when I was 1.
I'm skeptical to the core.
Bush winning is too good to be true - as a result I just can't see it until I am proven wrong.

I have a sinking feeling when I say this, but by pulling Florida they just increased their ratings by keeping the race close. Otherwise they have called every state by poll. The only exceptions are Oregon and Iowa which are tied. Why else would they pull it? Unless they think that the large numbers of absentee voters might change things.

No media plot here - Bush is opening up his lead still with 85% of precincts reporting.
MSNBC is reporting that candidates are tied in electoral votes now (242-242). The only way to win the 5 remaining states (counting California in Gore's column - even though California reporting shows Bush leading) is that either candidate must win Florida and one other state, or win all four states minus Florida.
No media plot here - Bush is opening up his lead still with 85% of precincts reporting.

now, they claim that only misdomenor offendrs got the ballots, but how could they check the status of the prisnoers? how would the state even knmow that the ballots were from prisoners?

I've heard the same stories, cm. Also heard that there are some absentee ballots missing in Florida.

Republicans ordered 100,000 more ballots than Dems.
30,000 of the absentee ballots are overseas ballots (military personnel)
Also, MSNBC is reporting undercounts of strong Republican counties in Florida. Apparently the deputies delivering the ballots couldn't find the election place and just now dumped off significant amounts of ballots from counties with a strong Republican tradition.

MSN shows both Cali and MI as a virtual tie, 49% ea, yet both selected as Gore. Still too bloody close..I need sleep. Gotta chew a$$ on some co-workers that cross the border from WA.
Its 11:10 MST, and I'm beginning to believe Rich called it pretty close. (312 Bush)
The media are saying its all tied up, but Bush is leading in all of the "too close to calls" except 1. The media just don't want to call it for Bush yet.

And I thought the Stanley Cup Finals were nerve-wracking, I can't stand this and I can't go to sleep. Go Bush, Go you old bastards on Florida, and most of all Go Kali. Kali still shows Bush in the lead, and with the same precints checking in with Diane frankenstein way in the lead.
So what am I supposed to do in a few hours? I work in a hive of Dems and Greens. I'm going to be either too happy for their tastes or too grumpy. Either way I'll be more asleep than awake. Coffee!
