We are so screwed

Regardless of whether Bush or Gore wins, this is only a battle - an important one but still a single battle in a long war.

Our forefathers didn't win by getting discouraged easily and Lord knows they had plenty of reason to be discouraged during the Revolution.

No matter what the outcome of this election, it is only a signal to top off your ammo, reload your weapon and prepare for the next round of fighting.

Okay, Rich.

So say we go down fighting. What are our Next Steps?

If people aren't yet members of NRA/GOA, go ahead and join.

Find ways to become active in politics locally and at the state level.

Get your CCW if it is possible in your state. (I think that each CCW acts as a "silent vote" which will be noted)

Fight the nibbling attacks.

What else? Come on, let's hear some real ideas how we can get people who have a stake in this issue to get moving!

I mean... Pennsylvania has more hunters than any other state. NPR says that male Republicans weren't bothering to go out and vote. How can we break through to these people?

My wife just stopped in and pointed at my copy of Paxton Quigley's book and suggested that we send copies to all of our friends who think that 911 makes sense as the only protection women need.

I know that I'm going to join my local Libertarian Party and try to spread pro-constitution ideas...

Bitchin' is for loosers. I haven't given up yet. Have you?

Even if the left wins, let's loose proudly. Let us know we ain't hardly done yet.

Rich,
Hear, hear. In the immortal words of John Paul Jones, "I have not yet begun to fight".

Incursion: "wtf how are they calling MI and FL for Gore when abcnews is showing Bush up 10% in MI and 2% in FL?"

Can't speak for Florida, but here in Michigan, (I just got back from voting; A 1 1/2 hour line!) Detroit returns probably aren't in yet, and you KNOW that city is going to go 80-90% for Gore, and will carry the state even if they have to get a 110% turnout to accomplish it.

According to CNN, Hillary won New York, surprise. How can little ole states like NH, DE, RI, MA, CT, etc. have so much sway :( Least Bush won Texas.

CNN just took Florida away from Gore and listed it as undecided.

Bush is back in the electoral lead by a projected 217-167.

They're gonna give Bush Pennsylvania soon too. Bush has this locked up. Don't sweat it.

I suggest everyone here get a copy of "We were Soldiers Once...and Young". Fight 'till the fight is over. Call the fight in your victory or defeat....not before.

Now GET OFF MY FREQUENCY! ;)
Chin up guys.

Thanks Rich.

I've learned that lesson tonight. My first post is evidence of that.

Standing tall and proud. Win or lose.

This feels like getting sent to the principal's office and having to wait outside before he calls you in.

Florida is going Bush and Peter Jennings is talking about lawyers challenging the results and looking into voter fraud in close states. Democrats talking about voter fraud is significant. Jennings is saying it is very early in the count to judge the election. Funny talk for him! The socialists are scared. I think it must look better for Bush than they are relating to us!

How can I answer this? I obviously can't say I'll disobey orders, which would violate my oath, but I also can't say that I would put on the blue beanie and smile about it, which would also violate my oath....

I'm glad I'm in the National Guard. If the political winds blow that way, I can get out before my unit is deployed and I am put in that mess....

AAAAARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

This is driving me nuts.

I'm going to bed. Wake me up when Bush is president.

Later,
Chris

You see, it isn't so easy to hit your target when you are under real pressure. Sure wish that it had been storming out here in California. Democrats just hate to get wet.
