Watches and guns-Let's see yours

Wait...refresh my memory...watches...isn't that what we used to wear before they came out with cellphones?

That's correct !
You would wear the watch on the dominant hand to add balance while you operated an adding machine or a typerwriter. That is, if you were at the office and not out riding around in your chariot!

So, for the OP, I haven't contributed cause I'm scared of the answer to the following question: somebody testing out a personality theory?

Otherwise, I don't get the connection. Why not ask about cars and guns? Wives/Husbands and guns? Computer type and guns? Slipons or shoelaces and guns?

Just perplexed.

I can answer that, for myself at least. The thing that guns and watches have in common, and which neither has in common with slipons or shoelaces or computers etc., is that they are handle-able, comprehendable, precision-made mechanical instruments.

I am a mechanical engineer, and for me the allure of a well made, aesthetically designed, mechanical device which has been precisely built for a single purpose is irresistible.

Note that cars could fit this bill for some, but since the scales are so different cars and guns don't photograph together as well.:D

Ms. Debbie wanted me to post some of hers.
Engraved & hard chromed early Charter, Keltec P32, Tudor quartz (rare) and Rolex Date.
Oh, and a Microtech Mini UDT!

Here is mine. I prefer the polymer, and rust free finish. I sweat a lot, so when I carry I need the nitron, etc type finish to keep the gun rust free.

(For those observant enough, the S/N's been photoshopped out, it's still very much present on the actual pistol)
