I plan to do sort of a proof test on both barrels with a 40 grain 3fg black powder and square load of shot. If she handles that with no issues, I'll feel OK dropping that back to 30 gr for birds and squirrels and such. If I can figure out how, and if anyone is interested, I'll video the proof test. Might not often get a chance to see an appx 130 year old gun blow up . Maybe I'm a fool, but I bought this shotgun to use it. Sure is pretty though.
