.22LR, spotted in the wild!
About 10 a.m. this past Sunday, I went to Wal-Mart. I happen to know that this particular WM puts its ammo stock out about 7 a.m. I know this from the WM employees, who have regaled me with stories of the folks that wait in line for the .22LR to be put out, grab their limit, go to the car, change shirts, and get back in line.
I don't recall why I had gone in, but it wasn't for ammo. Nonetheless, I figured I'd stroll past the ammo counter and see what was in. Mrs. McGee and The Little McGee were with me, but Mrs. McGee has no interest in checking out the ammo. Mrs. McGee headed off to do her thing, and The Little McGee and I headed for the ammo.
And there it was . . . . .22LR! I could have sworn that I heard angels singing in the backgound:
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! . . . . Bulk packs, no less than 6 of them, resting peacefully on that shelf!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! . . . . Less than $24 per 525 rounds, tax included and out the door!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! . . . . (But a limit of 3/customer. Not so Hallelujah. . . )
Maybe there's hope? Or maybe I just need to keep going back while everyone else is in church.
