It's not their statement, "XYZ caliber is worthless!" that bothers me.

It's their statement, "You're a fool!" that bothers me.

The mods are pretty good at shutting them down quickly,,,
I just have no patience with rudeness in general.

That's about as well said as you can get. So it really comes down to what tool used in conjunction with your skills and reactions will best maximize the chance of thwarting an attack.

Once person's skills/reactions may require them to use a .357 mabnum to thwart an attack while another persons skills may only require them to use a .380
