So what's your next handgun purchase?

my next handgun will be a 10 round compact semi automatic. to be decided... I want 45ACP if possible, can't go over 10 tho cuz its Cali
 
This last weekend I got a screaming deal on a CZ75B in the polished stainless steel finish at Cabela's. The tag on the display pistol read $639, the computer had it for $100 less than that, and applying for the Cabela's VISA card took another $100 off the price. I can work with this.

So, one pistol is removed from my wish list, only to be replaced by (let's see, what else do I lust after...). There's a couple of items at the very top (SIG P210, CZ75 short-rail early model, and a couple of others) that seem to have put up permanent residence.
 
My next handgun purchase?

Well, since all of my handgun needs are currently met, and given the upcoming change in the political climate, I have NO plans to buy any handguns in the foreseeable future. There's just no need, I've already gotten what I planned to get. I plan to stay low, flying under the radar, at least until the political weather changes. I've got a few rifles/shotguns on the buy list, but no handguns.
 
Well, Friday is the day I've been waiting for and I've done nothing but ADD more options to my list :( Now there's a used SA 1911 ($699) in the mix...as well as a Beretta 92FS.
 
Here is my short list of handguns to buy:

A DA revolver in .41 Magnum (preferably a Ruger Redhawk, but I'll settle for anything made by a reputable American company.)
Something in .40 S&W (preferably a Beretta 96F, but I'll settle for a Browning Hi-Power.)
A Ruger Redhawk in .44 magnum.
A Smith & Wesson Model 500
A Colt 1911
A Colt Peacemaker

I only buy guns privately, so whichever one of these guns turns up next in the classifieds is probably the next one I'm buying.
 
2" S&W mod. 15-3 square butt, in fine-to-excellent condition for about 300 Euro.
Just about one of the classiest snubs I ever actually held in my hand & worked the action of (empty). The guy selling it sure knew how to hook me !

OK. I've definitely changed my mind from just a few weeks back.

I'm going for either a Ruger Speed Six in 2 3/4 or a GP 100 in 3 inch config.

If I could swing it, I'd love a S&W 66 in 2 1/2 barrel. But they are commanding a premium price lately that generally I'm not willing to meet.

DA revolvers are the $h1t. I've fallen back in love with them again.

If you buy the Speed Six, you won't be disappointed. I just bought one a few months ago. It's a .357 magnum and one of the rare stainless models (most of them were blued.) I absolutely love it and it's become my new carry piece.
 
I guess I am fortunate in that there are no handgun purchases in my near future. My small collection is already more than I need.

Sometime over the next few years I would like to try skeet/trap shooting, for which I may get a shotgun. Probably a Rem, Moss, or Benelli.

Until then I am happy with what I have.

At the next gun show, I'm going to be on the prowl for a blue S&W 19 with a 2 1/2in. barrel to go with my 4 in. -- and to carry when I get my CHL (it's in process)
