The "S" prefix M&P's were the first models produced after WWII. Serial numbers ran from S811120 in 1945 to S999999 in 1948.Well I need the serial number help I know its a M&P and believe before WWII
its a 5inch barrel
Serial number Their is a S on butt of frame ? Then further over number 876XXX
looking for year This in excellent shape 90% and I got for 400 I hope its a good deal.
Serial number data in the SCSW for later model S&W auto pistols is very incomplete. Pretty much nothing on the 1911's. Best I can tell you is the 4506 is between 94 and 99.1911sc - JRE4xxx
4506-1 - VKM3xxx
SCSW doesn't appear to list any SNs starting with "3D" - 1D, 2D, and 4D up to 30D, (and even D3), but no 3D. And there's no gap in the sequence of years listed where "3D" would fit, i.e., the list goes right from 2D99999 (end of 1978) to 4D00001 (start of '79). Mod. 10-8 was introduced in 1977 and replaced by the 10-10 in 1988, if that helps.
Serial numbers ran from 295000 in 1962 to 786544 in 1969. Your SN of 3674XX is likely 63/64.my father passed away and i was left with his model 37 with a 3 inch barrel. i am wondering if anyone could help me find out the age of it. serial number on bottom of hand grip is 3674xx
Need to know caliber and is it a double or single action. Trigger guard or no trigger guard. Hammer or hammerless.I've got an old S&W revolver, serial #58530. Can't find anything on it for year it was produced. Anyone know? Thanks. It's an old break top
Yes, it's a Chiefs Special (pre model 36) made in 1952.I have a S&W 38 special. I'm trying to find out if it's a pre model 36.The serial number is 90XX.
1980.He has a S&W 39-2 serial A6372xx.
I only examined it quickly but think it is the alloy frame model.
