Smoking Gun's pictures

Hi, Smokin Gun:
Glad to hear from you again. That is a good picture of your Remington. There appears to be five other pictures above and below the main picture, in small squares, and they say TinyPic, and this Pic.has been moved or deleted.
I have not been frequenting our old BP forum, VoyForums, as they will only let me post 50 letters in a post, and you can't compose much of a post with 50 letters.
I see that you have become somewhat of a Remington shooter. Well, maybe you can tell me where to find pictures of factory cased Remington revolvers. I want to build a case for my Uberti/Remington 1858 New Army, and need to see how the originals were cased, and the accessories they used in the cases.
Thanks.
Chubbo

Fingers you've got too many guns.

You can never have too many guns Hawg. :D:D The ones in the picture are just the ones I shoot. I've picked up a couple older (1971 vintage) in-the-white pistols (51 Navy & 60 Army) since that picture was taken. And we don't need to go into the NIB unfired & limited edition ones I have.

Here's a couple of shot of my Old Army's

I just got the blued model recently. It's from the second year of production and when I got it, it hadn't been fired.

Hi ya Chubbo good seein' you too. miss ya at Voy...wadda ya mean they only let you type 50 characters? Only 50 in the "Expressions" box, you can still type as many as yur trigger finger allows you to below that in the Main Text Box. Come back and try it you'll see. That can with the newer format and new Servers.
Check the pics again see if that helped...I can still see um all from my end. Has happened with TinyPic since I registered with TinyFX.

Never Existed???

Nice gun but you can't really call it a replica since a .44 Navy never existed

Legend has it that after War of Attrition and the Abolutionists went home, that there were Soldiers that couldn't afford the .44 1858 Remingtons or .44 Colt 1860 as a second choice, have gunsmiths take the barrels of the .36 Navy and ream um out to .44. Then step the frame so the 1860 Army rebated cly would fit it....There were alot a parts and revs that din't work. And then there became alot of gunsmiths. Colt had alot of left over Blanks, barrels from the Navy 1851 and the civilian , Law enforcement put in a need/ want for 1851 in .44 caliber. Hence came the 1851 Navy/Army/U.S. Marshal/Reb special purpose Revolvers.

Now that's what I heard you'all

Second Gen.Colt 1851 Navy Pistols

Hi, All:
I just finished building the cases for these Colt Navy pistols. I am building cases for all of my cap & Ball Revolvers, and have three more in progress.
I have been having poor luck in finding the proper accoutrments to put into the cases to make the sets look authentic. I can't find pictures of the original instruction sheets that Colt fastened in the lid of their cases. I would like to reproduce the sheets, and put them in the lids of my cases. Can anyone help me with this? Here are the latest two cases that I made for my revolvers.
Thanks.

Colt 1st, model Dragoon

Hi, All:
Just finished the case for this Colt 1st Model Dragoon, yesterday. Have three more cases to finish, one for a Uberty/Remington 1858 New Army, one for a Colt Pocket Navy, and one for a Colt Pocket Police. I have two boxes done, less interiors., and have started the interior for the Rem. I might just make a double case for the two pocket Colts out of the last large box, and then retire from case making. It takes an unbelieveable amount of time to build one of these cases, and I have too many other projects started on the house that need finishing.
Chubbo.
