Believe it or not but you do not feel the heads
i smothed them down so they would be comfortable
to the hand, it does not bother me, i can shoot it
just as good with or without the badge.:D

Great looking case

Hi, Long Rider
You told me a while ago that you used the bare wood for your partitions in your cases, and I now see what you mean. Your cases are a lot more elaborate than the ones that I build. how do you hold the partitions together to glue them? That is beatuiful wood you use in your cases. I am about to get back to the last cases that I intend to build, a case for my Uberti 1858 Rem. New Army, and a combination case for Two Colt Pocket pistols. I am about halfway through building the Rem. case, and about one third of the way through the case for the Colt pocket pistols, a Pocket Navy, and a Pocket Police. I will post the pictures, if I ever get them done.

to make it out of burl maple or curly maple this time i am
going to put bun feet for legs, thanks guys.:D

I have to apologize for this picture in advance. It was taken as a joke to mock the semi-professional gun pictures people do where there is usually a pocketknife, cigar, zippo, and glass of sherry in there somewhere. It was something I posted on another forum where a bunch of people were making similiar "white trash" photo postings like this as a joke.

But it's the only picture I have available to me of my EMF Hartford 1861.

It was originally a blued gun. I disassembled it pretty much completely--even the cap nipples came off and were shipped seperate--and sent it to Mahovsky's SS Metalife for plating.

The thing is virtually rust and scratch proof now.

Here are my latest; a pair of 2nd Gen 61 Navies and a 37 year old Uberti 1860 that has had the finish stripped and received a polishing; Uberti Pocket Model with R&D cylinder, and last but not least, a C series 2nd Generation Colt Bicentennial 3rd Model Dragoon.

Chubbo. Same gun. Same maker. CVA imported this Spanish gun. All I did was rework the wood a bit. All it takes is a wood rasp, sandpaper, stock BLO and plenty of patience.

The Doc is out now.

Remington & Case

Hi, all:
Here is the Remington case that I have been working on, in between house repairs. I have included a R&D conversion cylinder in .45 long Colt, along with six .45 Long Colt cartridges. I have to build ether one each for a 1862 Colt pocket police, and a Colt 1862 Pocket Navy, or use the large case that I have partly done for a combination case for both. Then I am going to retire as a case maker.
Smoking Gun, I tried to post you on your home forum, but no way will they let me post more than 55 letters in any post. Sorry to here about your cat buddy, hope it gets well.
