It really makes me stop and wonder about the transition that our country is going through. Globally known as a country that supports freedom, we are becoming more and more a post-war nation such as our friends across the pond (England) and like our enemies (WWII Germany) in the fact that freedoms are being restricted left and right.
Hating San Franciscans for their proposition does not seem purposeful at their time. Hopefully, but doubtfully, in time they will realize that this is a mistake. Hopefully, but doubtfully, our brothers and sisters in the state of California wont be grossly abused by those who will not submit their guns as they are criminals who have more than likely stolen them.
If the NRA does not get involved in this war for city-superceding state and federal rights, I can say that they won't get a damn red dime from me again. I'd like to hear from some pro-gun San Franciscans who are out there and what they think and feel about this new and in my opinion, illegal, proposition.
I'm torn into thinking which is the best decision, but realizing that all options are not good ones. Should people move out of California? Should people move in to California to stop future legislation and remove prior legislation. Also, in semi-jest, what is the Governator doing as a semi-Republican to repeal this?
Either way, there are several upset people going to bed in California tonite. What effects our brothers and sisters there, will affect us similarly in 20 years.
Also, we'll see who has the guts to stand up against their government. So often I hear people say that they will die before their guns will be removed from their hands. I bet this law will go without one shot being fired and this makes me wish that Americans still had a piece of that revolutionary spirit...
Peace be with you.
