Rugers Website

I'd be disappointed to see Ruger do a 1911. Everyone and their brother makes them and Ruger couldn't do anything that hasn't already been done very well.

I hope it's something truly innovative.

Ive heard the LCR manages to be light and somehow reduce recoil, and heard the triggers are sweet too. what about full sized guns? Maybe a 7-shot polymer revolver.

A pump shotgun would be nice....im looking to replace my 870 with something better (expres smodel finish sucks.) Wingmaster is out of price range now. Knowing Ruger it would be tough, rugged and affordable.

Maybe it's just a countdown to the next recall !
At least they don't just ignore minor problems like most companies. Face it, a large number of their companies have said "that is how it is supposed to unction" for very similar problems.

I'd like to see them introduce a lightweight DA 8 shot .22 LR/mag revolver. Maybe they've added something like the LCR in .22?

Wait wait wait - I think I've got it!

They have stretched out the frame of the GP100, and put a long, five shot cylinder chambered for .45 Colt or .410 shotgun shells on it!
They're going to call it "The Mediator!"

BTW, that article is from last year, Big Bill. So that would have been referring to the LCR, which surely did rock the SHOT show.

I heard it was "The Jury"

It's a polymer framed Howdah type pistol in black powder but with electronic ignition so you don't need primers. Four barrels like a Sharps - so imagine 4 shots of 58 cal lead balls.

I wanted to come up with the best nutty idea.

• This new one is to be a single action revolver. That much has been clarified elsewhere.
• There is a SR-1911 being designed and developed. The latest I heard ( 3 weeks ago) was they were trying to decide what parts to make themselves and what parts to out source for. Pretty much told it WILL happen just not in time for SHOT.
• Also told the big chair at Ruger wants a new model about every 6 months or so. Talked with reps of another they're designing that will likely be a biggie for them too.
These are the facts as we have them available to us. All else is just speculation.

Unfortunately, Ruger also claims the .480 to be "dead". Sad because I REALLY wanted to see a new five-shot single action .480 and/or .50 caliber of some sort. Preferably one that can utilize the many commercial bullets for the .500S&W but in a standard length cartridge. Something along the lines of a legitimized .500JRH.

I have it on gud authority that it's a #1 in 22lr. Actually I made that up, but I'm testing the self fulfilling prophecy concept. I'd sure like to see a rimfire #1.

Scuttlebutt is it's the Blackhawk II. Single action polymer framed revolver with an integral laser in the ejector rod housing. In camo print finish no less.

If that's really the case, I'll be in line for one. Not a fan of handgun optics and like to hunt with my Blackhawk at short ranges.

If you're talking about the post from Jeff Quinn on the Ruger forum, the butt-scuttler reneged on that scuttlebutt in a later post. Claims he was messing with us. So, back to square one with that inside source.

Yes, I was referring to that particular butt scuttler. Sounded far fetched, but Quinn likely has an article already penned and ready to release praising whatever it is, so I gave his post some (apparently) unwarranted belief. Guess his posts are to be believed about as much as his articles.
