If I am going to go the revolver route, I might as well just get the P365.

I compared the LCP II with the LCR and there's no comparison. The LCR is far larger.
When comparing the LCR to 9mm subcompacts such as the P365, Shield, or PPS; the difference is more a matter of shape than size. The semi-autos are more L-shaped and that can be awkward with pocket carry. The curved contour of the LCR lets it ride and draw more easily from a pocket holster.

Of course, the pants matter. I have some slacks where I can't pocket-carry anything bigger than a .380. In the pants I wear most often, I can comfortably pocket-carry an LCR. With the 9mm subcompacts, I have to go IWB.
