Recommend some .40 Autos?

Not to be rude but, he stated in his original post that the Glock grip didn't fit his hand well and he had eliminated those as an option. Some people (myself include) can adapt to different grip styles, however some people would rather own something that feels the most comfortable in their hands. :D

I thought I liked how Glocks feel in my hand until I held Joe Klug's CZ 75B 9mm for the first time! Now the Glocks just don't seem to fit as good as they used to. :( I have no interest in owning another .40S&W handgun but if I were to need one I'd probably get a CZ 75B in that caliber.

Also, FWIW, I have shot a few 1911 .45's and they all fit my hand better than my Glocks. Total thickness had nothing to do with it though. I think it was more the feel of the angle, shape and contour of the grip frame. Dial calipers cannot measure that! :D

Whenever somebody asks what .40 to buy, all the 9'ers and .45aholics come out of the woodwork.

I own some of each, and think that the .40 in a small package is as much power as I need. It is a good balance of velocity, energy and bullet weight.

I recommend a Kahr. Solid, well built, decent trigger and mine is quite accurate. Hides in a pocket or good IWB holster.

I have 9's, .40's and .45's of various sizes. Don't know why but I prefer my .45's to be full sized.

HSarms is supposed to be coming out with a .40 version of the hs2000 sometime soon. If it's as good as the 9mm and around the same price it might be worth waiting for.

I am a huge fan of the cz line of pistols but have yet to try one in a 40. I have had some experience with a kimber 1911 in 40cal and The accuracy was excellent. This suprised me as other 40 cal pistols seem to lack the accuracy of their 9mm counterparts.

a lot of things matter in my choice
if u can afford the high end 40's there are many fine choices
i love my p99 and my USP u cant go wrong with either one
but my first 40 was an Uzi Eagle it is a CZ clone with slight
differences. It still sells for $349 with factory nite sites
For u beginners or guys who would rather have an extra
$300 for some ammo i highly recommend this gun.
i believe it is the newer version of the Baby eagle

My brother-in-law and I shoot in IDPA matches every month. He uses a Ruger p-94. Always outdoor matches, rain, sleet, or snow. Never a jam. I don't prefer this gun, as it's a little large for my hand. Another guy in our group shoots a Kimber ultra carry, constant trouble with jams every time he tries a different load. The Ruger will eat anything it's fed, 370 dollar gun, I belive the kimber was around 1300. On a bench rest the kimber is slightly more accurate. But you need to ask yourself: what is the purpose of the gun, personal defense, plinking, or bench rest target matches?
