JerryS, I believe the majority of people would agree with you on the 232 over the PPK/S but for myself, the opposite is true. There are many features of the 232 that I greatly admire and many I believe are an advancement over the PPK/S, however, for me, the PPK/S wins out. It does fit my hand better, though the 232 is a bit softer shooting due to the grips. The decocker on the 232 is awkward for me to manipulate. The da trigger on the Sig is lighter but the trigger reach feels longer to me. I like the fact that I can easily thumbcock the PPK/S if I desire. Both are wonderfully accurate. The PPK/S is a bit smaller. The Sig has better sights, certainly. People warn against the S&W made PPKs and laud the earlier Interarms versions but back in the day people slammed the Interarms guns as Jammamatics and lauded only German-made guns. I had an earlier Interarms PPK which never jammed for me and was very accurate. I now own two S&W-made PPK/S's (stainless and blued), neither of which has jammed to date, although I have only fired fmj (round and flat-nosed) through them.
The Sigs are superb pistols but the Walthers just feel right to me and since mine seem to work perfectly (so far), they get the nod for me.
Edited to add: due to my hand size and shape, neither pistol "bites" me.
