QUICK! Grab Your Nearest Gun

Glock 26 has been IWB on my hip since about 7:30 AM, and will be until sometime late this evening. When it isn't on my hip, it is in a GunVault MicroVault in my bedside table. I carry 124-grain Gold Dots in it.
 
XD 4" in 357Sig with 125 grain gold dots and a CZ-82 in 9x18 Makarov loaded with 94grain silver bear hollow points. They are both on top of the fridge at the moment.
 
Well, lets see my .38 Spl M637 is about 6” from my left hand. My .357 M60 w/3” barrel is about 10” from my right hand. My 12 gauge 870 is at the end of the desk and my .44 mag short barreled Marlin 336 is in the over head book case; both of these weapons are less than 3' from me.

How about that for firepower close by?
 
Right now about three steps away is a Stevens 311 12 gauge with 20 inch barrels loaded with 00 buck.
 
Depends on where I am in my house,,,

In my living room/kitchen/work area it would be a S&W Model 36,,,
It now lives in a holster bolted to the underside of my work table.

In my bedroom it would be a CZ-75B in 9mm,,,
It lives in a holster that is screwed to the side-board of my bed frame.

In my bathroom it would be an old beat-up S&W Model 64,,,
It lives in a Zip-Lock bag in a drawer next to the throne.

Like my old den mother always said,,,
Be prepared.

Nearest gun is a bolt-action .22 lr Marlin Glenfield Model.

2nd nearest are a host guns in a safe, including long guns and hand guns.

The nearest defensive gun is a condition-one Kimber Pro CDP 1911, currently my favorite of all of them.

I'm at work. Since we fall under FAA regs I can't even have a gun in my car on the property. I'm unarmed... And not too happy about it! 

Explain that FAA. Never heard of it. I too am "not supposed to have it even in my car" but I think they can take their "rules and regulations" and shove it. My state laws say I can and since July 2008 it became a "take your gun to work" state. So one can practice his/her second amendment right on their commute to and from work ;)
