OK, cold weather time. Elsie is resting comfortably in the safe. Now it's my Springer XD40 Subcompact in a JMG IWB 3.2 holster on my side.
 
I have an AMT Backup 45 in my pocket right now. The next closest, at arm's length, is a '96 Krag. It's leaning against my desk wishing it had a barrel band to go along with the new stock.

One of these days...
 
At the bedside is my S&W 66, loaded with 6 rounds of Hornady 125gr XTP's. There's always a loaded Beretta 92FS in it's own little hiding place in the living room as well.;)

Love that gun for many reasons, primary among them being that it was the first handgun I ever shot (Dad's PD issued .38). I will never forget that indelible experience. True test of a good gun is the 'test of time' and the Model 10 makes as good a HD piece today as it did thirty years ago.

This is a cool thread but so long I could have setup several really kickass pieces to have near by, but the only one close to me at any given moment whil at my computer is my 1916 Colt .22 LR (Pre woodsman) that drives tacks into the wood at upwards of 100 feet!
