"Primitive Weapon Rifle"

Mississippi, don't bubba your gun with JB weld. The pins are splined on one end which is "supposed" to keep them in place. If the pin walks out, lay the frame on something hard (not wood) to keep the pin from moving and dimple the end with a center punch. Then turn over and dimple the other end. This will hold the pin in place yet allow removal if necessary. GW

What about trying to stake the pin? You could put a heavy stake in one side and a light stake on the opposite side (the side you'd want to use when you need to take the pin out).

Alright, I'll try that. Mean time I'll order a new pin also

If the pin is walking, it has been removed before. ...And probably the wrong way.

Those pins were a close fit, and the splines displaced metal in the receiver, when installed by H&R. If it's moving, Bubba has been in there.

Inspect the pin and receiver, before throwing parts at it.
