The attitude of most of the Texans I've known is one I can live with:

"Your gun is like your genitals: you have a right to both but we don't want to see either exposed in public."

Plus I'm old and slow enough, open carry would make me look like a gun shop on the hoof.
 
An armed population has never been enslaved.

I support open carry. The only ones who should be worried about seeing guns are the criminals, including the ones wearing suits.
 
I've been open carrying more recently. I have been conceal carrying for about a year, so I'm pretty comfortable with a gun attached to me.

I see both sides to it, but I can also educate someone of they ask me about it. If we don't exercise our rights, we will lose them.

People show off a lot worse things than their gun in public.
 
The poll is a false dichotomy/oversimplification of a complex issue, the question is leading and it's 7 years old.
