Poll On Kerry's Insulting Comments - Go Vote

Because he is representative of the people that will be in charge when the Democrats take over. Pretentious, elitist schmucks who think they are smarter than everyone else. Hell, that was exactly the mindset he was playing to with that comment.

I think it was Letterman that said "Only John Kerry can loose and election he isn't even in".

Talk about someone with interchangable parts (mouth and rectum).

Nail directly on the head!!!! I would say a lot of people that were going to vote Dem have now changed their minds.:D

Obviously he did not mean to insult the troops during an election. (Unless he's secretly a Republican , use some common sense here)

Having said that ... Kerry is a bigger moron than his look alike Herman Munster.

And that's really the point, isn't it? Let's all feign insult and outrage at a comment that could not possibly have been directed at the troops. That way *just maybe* the Republicans can hold on to congress for another couple years and a few hundred more of these "smart brave" soldiers can bleed to death in a sh*tty little war in a God-forsaken desert for no good reason.
I find that implication more insulting than any intentionally misconstrued comment Kerry could have said. You're telling me that the primacy of the Republican party outweighs the lives , mission, and purpose of our servicemen.

Unlike you, my outrage is not feigned. This whole discussion is repulsive. I want an apology from the Bush administration for implying that *I'm* stupid enough to swallow this garbage and I demand retribution for using our servicemen and women as sacrafices on the altar of political ambition.

I'm just going to stop at this point and exit this travesty of a thread before I say something that gets me banned. Have fun.

[edit] One more thing: I'm just as upset at Kerry and all the Dems who allowed this to happen as I am at Bush & company. So I'm disgusted with Kerry also, but not for this. [/quote]

How can you possibly think that this is not directed at Past, present and future servicemen????????

Kerry then told the students that if they were able to navigate the education system, they could get comfortable jobs - "If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq," he said to a mixture of laughter and gasps.

It was stupid mouth-gas coming from one of the top five representatives of the Dem party, If it were a republican you would be jumping for joy-tell me I'm wrong.

Why "not possibly directed at the troops"? Definitely can't think him innocent based on his past comments?? This isnt the 1st time he (would have) bad-mouthed our military.

Atleast this time (as far as we know) he isn't secretly having peace talks with the insurgents; hate to see his photo up in yet another museum praising those who helped our enemy's attain victory.

contender,
If it was a Republican that said it I wouldn't give a crap one way or the other. I saw the tape half a dozen times and he was talking about Bush...but that's not even the point.
Screw what Kerry said. Screw what *any of 'em* said. What I want to know is how many flag-draped coffins are a fair price for a Republican victory next week? Is it more respectful to call 'em smart or more respectful to use them as cannon fodder for political gain?

I really don't want to talk about this anymore.

Why not start your own thread about the war, this one is about John Kerry's obvious insult to our servicemen and women.:D No need to drag it off to the LEFT.

my outrage is not feigned

Outraged? Offended?

Because of what Republicans are saying at the eve of an election after Senator Kerry screwed up (and yes, he did really screw up, regardless of what he intended)?

Come on. You know the Democrats would have done the same thing had a Republican screwed up. Welcome to election season.

Thing is, even the Democrats can't complain that this is a Karl Rove set-up, or a Halliburton conspiracy, or big oil trying to manipulate an election; good ol' John Kerry created the mess all by himself.

Perhaps he should stick to windsurfing and skip the speeches.

I am one of the soldiers to whom you and Sen. Kerry refer. Far from being uneducated, I am currently about half-way done with a Masters of Science in Strategic Intelligence with an emphasis on the Middle East. I've spent over two years in Iraq and Kuwait, living and working closely with Arab Muslims and Arab Christians. I even speak enough Arabic to get by in quite a few situations. I've been shot at and blown up, and have lost both friends and blood relations in Iraq. Based on my education and real-world experience, I firmly believe that our involvement in Iraq is absolutely vital.

While you would have every right to be offended by the use of our troops in Iraq purely for political gain here in the States (if that was, in fact, the case), to pretend that the whole situation was invented out of whole cloth by the Republican Party shows woeful ignorance of history, lack of understanding of militant Islam and Arab cultures and a self-serving disregard for the sacrifices made by both Coalition service members and the Iraqi people. Such statements as "What I want to know is how many flag-draped coffins are a fair price for a Republican victory next week? Is it more respectful to call 'em smart or more respectful to use them as cannon fodder for political gain?" are utterly disgusting to me and far more dismissisve of the sacrifices I and my brothers-in-arms have made than the simple-minded elitism displayed by Sen. Kerry and his ilk.

...making a freaking mountain out of a molehill... must be close to an election or something.

war in a God-forsaken desert for no good reason.
When you and/or your wife are being raped, robbed, murdered or tortured or just terrorized...
I truly hope your neighbor's consider you, and your house, "God-forsaken" and lift not a finger to help you... for "ANY" good reason...

...making a freaking mountain out of a molehill...
This is the problem... Liberals can't tell a mountain when they see one...
Kerry's mentality was never a molehill in the first place...
Do you think Senator Kerry's comments were a botched joke or an insult to troops?
His estimation of the average trooper's/sailor's IQ is mean... at best...

I know a Nuclear Submariner who could blast Kerry's dull wit out of the water...
And he would NOT need a Swiftboat to do it...

The intelligence level of the troops far exceeds John Kerry's loftiest dreams for his own...
He and Al Gore are shipmates on the same canoe.

John Kerry is a walking insult to all of the "little people" he claims to represent...

He doesn't know the meaning of integrity... or honor...

And he is the personification of the Democrat Mascot...

An ass in the purest sense of the word... :barf:

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
George W. Bush, 5 August 2004

Pointer, is this a mountain? (Bush actually sits around thinking about ways to harm the U.S. and it's people) or a molehill? (Bush mis-spoke)...

Politicians spend so much time yakking that it's inevitable stupid stuff will occasionally come out of their mouth. The only reason that partisans are cranking up the outrage over Kerry's goofed-up insult to Bush is because of the upcoming election.

RIGHT:rolleyes: The same way all the leftys have dissected every word coming out of Bush's mouth for the last 6 years. Oh wait a minute, Bush still has two years before he can be reelected:D They do get twelve years term limit when the nation is at war, correct?

P.S. Where in all #$!! do you read the name "Bush" anywhere in that idiot Kerry"s statement? Kerry directed that comment at the students of that school and clearly insulted ALL US servicemen and women.

actually, some people can just say good morning and get a laugh out of other people, Kerry is the type of person that couldn't get a laugh out of anyone if he had the writers from Sat. night live, he is a loser that should just stay home or hang around Mass with Kennedy long as the people up there want to pay him. I'm a registered Dem and a combat vet who votes for whom i think will do the best job for the country, Rep or Dem, my commits about kerry are not political,in my mind he was a loser back in 70 when he was running around with the Fonda crowd, He threw he ribbions away which he should have done as i and a lot of other people do not think he deserves them JMHO>

I agree, Bush's verbal stumbling has been well-documented. But I don't think anyone puts too much weight into them, other than they are entertaining and possibly suggest that the guy isn't too smart. The rest of the "twelve year term limit" thing, I'm not following that...

P.S. Where in all #$!! do you read the name "Bush" anywhere in that idiot Kerry"s statement? Kerry directed that comment at the students of that school and clearly insulted ALL US servicemen and women.

It's obvious the remark was an attempt at insulting Bush. Repubs like Dick Armey have acknowledged that and have said the uproar is nothing but politics. Ask yourself why Kerry would "clearly insult" servicemen when number one, it would be political suicide, and number two, he himself served in the military in combat during wartime (although many lowlifes have tried to disparage his service). The good thing that hopefully comes out of this is the Dems finally realize that Kerry is not Presidential Candidate material and don't run him in '08, because his frequent gaffes are too easily exploited by the smear hacks and there are better candidates out there.

It is believable as a "clear insult" because of his past record on the subject. This wouldn't be the 1st time he said something derogatory about the military. Could have been a botched joke, but could also be his true opinion being articulated AGAIN. In which case he would not feel a need to apologize since that is what he thinks.
