One Handgun - Forever?

SIG Sauer P226 9mm

1) caliber is lethal enough
2) ammo is cheap enough to afford lots of practice
3) gun reliability is legendary

Interesting, thought provoking thread. So...

Do I keep the FNH FNP-9 that I currently carry on duty?

Do I sport the hunting friendly 28-2 with 8 3/8" barrel and find a shoulder holster?

Maybe the Anaconda for sheer firepower and 6" isn't hard to carry around.

The Python for sheer elegance and, like the 28-2, is a great all-around wheel, with the benefit of being only 6".

The Sp101 in .327? Ammo isn't a question in this case, and with proper shot placement, would work on smaller deer and various other critters, in a pinch. Being stainless, and only 3", would be the easiest to care for of the wheels.

I'm honestly thinking it would be the SAR, imported by EAA, K2-45 I just bought, if it turns out to be reliable. 14rds of .45 ACP means self defense isn't a problem, fairly easy to work on and the round has proven itself a killer, man or beast.

So, if all goes well with the SAR, that's what I would choose. Hopefully, we can back up that one handgun with a long gun, in which case, the process gets even harder, lol.

One handgun forever is easy for me. It would be a 1911 in 45ACP. Most likley a Colt Series 70 MKIV 5" with Novak Sights, Bevertail Grip, Extended Saftey, 3 Hole Stainless Trigger, a new blued Bushing, and an accurized barrel. That would be perfect the 1911 just fits me for some reason. It would obviously be tuned up to be extremely reliable as well and feed hollowpoint. I might choose another 1911 like Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, Les Baer but for now the MKIV is my choice.
