Funny - I was in the LGS yesterday and for grins, asked the clerk when they are getting the G43? Wha Dat? sez he.

I explain and he say there is no such thing as at the Shot Show, Glock said they aren't making one.

He should know as he is a Gun store clerk. Wonder if he knows there is the Internets and the Google?

The Shield model without a thumb safety is (IMHO, of course) about as perfect as a small, slim, single-stack 9mm can get.

A single-stack 9mm Glock, the size of a Shield (or of a Glock42), would be an excellent addition to the marketplace, and likely every bit as "perfect"

Fans and purists will just have to have it. It'll sell well.

For those already owning a Shield or something similar, there isn't really a practical reason to trade or switch.

I carried a PPS... its not as small as people make it out to be, def not a pocket gun, unless you have pretty big pockets, i do not, nice gun none the less, i regret selling mine.

Ruger LC9s Pro. What's not to like? 7 round mag. Dang nice trigger. Lost that freakin' safety and mag disconnect. Weighs in at about 17 oz.

I am in the market for a G42 though...for my recoil sensitive wife.

Maybe I hold off on looking for a lc9s for the time being.
I'd be interested in finding out how many of the parts will/would be compatible with the rest of their line up. It would be nice of it would still use the standard springs, trigger groups, and whatnot.

As a fan of Glock pistols and the owner of both a S&W Shield and Springfield Armory XDs in 9mm...I am very much looking forward to the Glock 43.

Ruger LC9s Pro

The problem I have with the LC9 is the break... often, and wear themselves out quickly. I deal with quite a bit of them being returned with issues to be sent to Ruger for their famous "warranty inspection" 9 times outa 10 (read not always always) Ruger takes care of them, but I've had them charge a few customers, but that's nothing new.

Not ragging on your gun but based on how many we sold vs we see with issues, i wouldn't trust one, that and the trigger is awful on the LC9 and LCP. I had an LCP I got FOR FREE from the Ruger 4R program for dealers, and i still sold it.

Not so much the case when it comes to the striker fired LC9s now, but I do agree they are not my first choice by a long shot.
