Offhand at 25yds..

Is it me, or are the rounds in the OP's picture keyholing???

No keyholing just paper that isn't tightly stapled to its backing after restapling many targets to the same backing.

Its a 5 shot group.

What do you guys mean by keyhole shots? Bullet not entering from point (ie: spinning somehow)??

A bullet that wobbles during flight will not leave a round hole in the paper but instead an oblong "keyhole" shaped hole, a hole with a tail attached to it. Named long ago for the older type keyholes and not the modern key slots.

Most guys I see at the range cant shoot thier polymer handguns that well at the 7 yard range. I call that better than the average Joe can do with a combat gun and probally better than I could do with the same gun.

As mentioned, you have there a 4 shot group that is just over 2" with one flyer that stretches it to just below 4" shot at 25 yards from a non rested gun. That would be good shooting from a benched gun of that type or from any gun in a service caliber. Likely the shooter knows that.

If the op can do that on demand likely they could win a few little statues and a few bucks now and then.

I hope to get that good, on demand. I am always on paper at 25 yards, which is probably sufficent for SD work

Good luck in court if you take a SD shot at 75 feet.

The DA's opening line will be, why didn't you run...

About grouping from a machine rest.
A quality Bullseye gun will put ten shots inside the X-ring (1.6 in.) at 50 yards.
There are shooters who can duplicate that one handed.
I would be very happy with the group in the OP.

Nice group and all I'll ask is what size group can you get under rapid fire? Double or triple tap? Excellent shooting and keep up the good work.

Here's my best 25 yard offhand group so far. In case you are wondering why that hit on the lower left was scored a 9 and not a 10, it's because it was shot in a National Muzzleloading Rifle Association match, not a NRA match.
NMLRA uses center of the hole scoring.

I dont own a rest and since I've started working harder at getting good at shooting I shoot at a indoor range and don't really talk to or shoot with other shooters. I knew I shot well but didn't know how I stacked up to other people who actually shoot.

I would be surprised if a double tap stayed on paper at that distance. This is slow fire stuff. I placed 11th out of 33 in a local USPSA match in limited using the XD and shooting minor. Its my first match shot with a full size(used my carry before). I shot limited because my other mags aren't here.

Great:D Keep at it and the double tap will come

A guy named Mr. Wesson shooting a Springfield. What's this world coming to?.....

Nice shooting Mr. Wesson.

I replaced my M&P9c with a Pf9.

I was looking into a full size M&P9 but the sale on the Springfield @ 349.99 was to hard to pass up.. I still own S&W though
