Movie handgun attribute you want most?

I'd like to do "The Last Boy Scout" shot- where he has a .38 snubbie or something similar and shoots a powerline at about 100 yards with the only shot he has left... I mean he aimed it right? It has to hit!

That and the precision magazine reloading like in Laura Croft behind her back on the mag holder thing. That's not "totally" implausible, but not an easy trick under duress.

I also like the Yakuza guy in "Predators" where he's magically transported in a suit and somehow has like 20 magazines for his 6" 1911's somewhere in his pockets, but still has no shoes... That's like 15#'s of mags in his suit or pockets or something. All perfectly concealed too.

Finally, how in shows like "LOST" or similar where they all just run around with full size Berettas or something just tucked into the back of thier pants (with no belt, or the hottie chicks and low waist jeans). And they can go over a waterfall or run through a jungle and never lose it, but it gets knocked out of thier hands when some BG just walks up and slaps it away just out of reach...

All are implausible, but if you can suspend disbelief enough to belive in big ass lizards with lasers or magical entities that appear anywhere why not have all of the above!

"safety = distance", Hollywood films-tv shows.....

This is a tad off topic, but I can't understand the common Hollywood scene of a person holding another character(unarmed) at gunpoint. The unarmed actor then(by magic or chance or luck) seems to flip around and disarm the other actor without effort or being shot.
Now, could a skilled or trained person really snatch a weapon or use some martial arts skill in a CQB(close quarters battle) type event? Maybe, but most smart cops/soldiers/security guards/corrections officers etc would just back up out of reach and gack them if they attacked, ;).

This film/tv point may be the same as when a hero/good guy-gal has multiple subjects actively trying to shoot or kill them but as they escape or flee they avoid/ignore picking up a loaded firearm to defend themselves, lol.
The older action film; Rapid Fire(1992) with actor Bruce Lee's son has a good example of this scene.

As tempting as the endless magazine is, I would have to opt for the accuracy.
The only question is would shooting be as fun if you always hit?

I'll take either the suppressed revolver, always a Hollywood favorite!, or the endless supply of ammo. I could always improve with practice, right?

Speaking of BadA** reloads have you guys seen the movie "Kick A**" (not sure if I should censor it, but better to be safe I guess.)

Towards the end this girl is running down a hallway with 2 pistols. When they are empty she drops the mags toss 2 mags in front of her (spinning) and slams her pistols down on them in mid air for a perfect reload. You want to watch a movie with some over the top Accuracy, check this one out.

Also I found something in this movie I would really like, Gun mounted flash light that has an extremely bright "strobe" mode to blind your foe.

I want a matched pair of the .45's that Bruce Willis shoots when diving through the air and they don't have ANY recoil. Failing that - I'd settle for the old cowboy movie bush that bullets couldn't pass through....

A Glock with sights mounted on the side of the slide, so I can hold the gun sideways while shooting. (Just like the picture in the emails:D)

I wouldn't need a bottomless magazine as long as I had an unseen, but limitless supply of loaded magazines. Blazing away with a gun in each hand, simultaneously dropping two empty mags, and slamming in two fresh ones--all while diving sideways--is part of the fun that would be missed with bottomless magazines.

Unlimited Ammo.

Since you said I never pay for it, you know it's not a waste when it's free. lol

That and you know you are putting the fear of the almighty in them when the rounds never stop. lol

You also get a free movie perk with that when you stop and think about it. The trigger finger that never gets tired from pulling the trigger.

No legal liability is also the free perk for all option since it comes from the movies. lol

I also like the bullets that give that big shower of sparks no matter what they hit. That would be great for seeing which way to correct when you're not on paper. And they never seem to start fires unless fired into a car or truck!

No, wait a minute,I don't need to see where they went because I also want the hollywood marksmanship abilities. :D

Old school tv cop show SFX...

In a Soldier of Fortune article in the mid 1980s, Miami Vice producer Michael Mann requested the production company's prop staff & armorers to use big flashes and expanded blank discharges from the common pistols/weapons of the era; S&W 645/4506 .45acp, SIG P220 .45acp, Bren 10 10mm, 870 shotguns, Mossberg Bullpup 12ga, M16a1s, etc.

Today many films-tv shows use animation or CGI(computer images). It's cheaper and safer, ;).

I'm gonna steer off path here and say I want all vehicles to B-L-O-W--U-P when I "shoot them in the gas tank."

Yep... I want explosions like every Ford Taurus has been packed with 100 lbs of tannerite.

That part was actually real. Maybe not a wedding ring, but they hired a trick shooter to shoot through a stamp on a washer that was tossed in the air. The shot was replicated on the history channel a while back. Wish I could do that too...

Yeah, there are some freakishly gifted people in the world. But not me :( I have to train hard to stay mediocre.

Hey! Just had a thought (swallowing 4 aspirin), if you wished for the unlimited ammo option -- wait for it --- how are you going to pick it up? That gun with 20gagillion rounds of ammo must weigh more than an ocean liner!

Slightly related: I want the ability to shoot a firearm all day long in closed spaces w/absolutely no hearing damage.
Scene 1 (in a house): I'm hiding behind a ________: I jump up and shoot 3 bad guys who all fall over while their Uzis shoot up the ceiling.
Scene 2: I duck back behind the box, but I hear the slight creak of a door knob turning behind me and turn to shoot three more bad guys.

I then turn to the witness protection client next to me and in a whisper say "you stay here while I (change into superman and singlehandedly stop the other 300 mob goons)."

Pulling out my snub Taurus .38 Ultralight without aiming.....

......and hitting a bad guy escaping....

......two hundred and fifty yards away.....

......With one shot.....

......Double action.

:D

+1 for incredible accuracy, i wanna shoot from the hip every time and never miss.

Also I found something in this movie I would really like, Gun mounted flash light that has an extremely bright "strobe" mode to blind your foe.

Check out the Blackhawk Xyphos
my dept issues them, though I have never used the strobe in training or on the job.

30MM,,,,, just so long as the A10 is still attached.:D
But for to play along,,,, a single action 6 shot that will shot 30+ without reloading.
