Most UNDERRATED handgun?

CZ's are neither under-rated nor over-rated. These are rated just fine for price, function and ergonomics.

HK USP's, however, are under-rated in these here shores. Glocks,Sig's, Walthers, and even CZ's sell up to 30% higher here compared to the USP's. I just don't get it...

Straight...

Anything straight shooting in .32ACP is way underrated.
I have heard people saying it is a sissy caliber, but noone has volounteered to take a couple of hits to prove it ...
It is not the gun or the caliber, it is where you hit.

I agree Whiz. I am a NEW convert to the Kel-Tec P32 and before that was very fond of my tiny little Walther TPH .22 LR. which is about the same size and a little heavier.

In my opinion, for what it's worth ;0 the .22 and .32 and .380 and 9x18 are all just fine so are the 9mm, .45, .357, etc.

Interesting that the better shots, those who are able to practice a lot, and those who carry ALL the time for years at a time are often found to be packin' the smaller guns and calibers.

I was turned on to the TPH .22 by an American Wet Agent who ALWAYS carried the TPH everywhere and had for years. His BIG gun was a Beretta .380 and his work guns were a .22 Ruger Mark II and an AR-7 Explorer. Once I got to know him, after living in his home for a while, he begrudging admitted that he'd lost count of how many times he'd used the .22 successfully in his 45 years of work. He had only used his big gun, his .380, once.

By the way, he only used solids, no HPs until I gave him a brink of Stingers to use in his TPH. Reason... better ignition.

Personally I don't use Stingers anymore, I use CCI, Blount, QuikShoks for three reasons 1. best ignition reliability yet. 2. best accuracy for me in my guns. 3. performance in the things I'm allowed to shoot.

EAA Witness Steel frames, Charles Daly's and CZ-75's. The Z's have to be one of the best looking 9mm's ever made, dont know why they arent rabidly popular..oh yea..they dont cost $800+.
Dont think I have ever felt a better slide to frame fit on a stock pistol than on the CZ's. Kinda reminds me of the older hi-powers when you rack the slide.

Smith 3rd Gen autos

My plain jane 910 (value line) some where over 5k rounds. No malfuntions of any kind, excellent accuracy, no wear on the aluminum frame, only cost $375.. Nobody talks about them.
they just work.

I had to register, Just to put in my vote for Ruger and my Bersa Thunder 380, I have the P97 Ruger, These are inexpensive guns that perform right up there with the high dollar guns, Been shooting Rugars of one type or another for 30 years, Just got the Thunder 380 a couple months ago But already love it, Just to shoot or for carry.:D

Ruger P Series - rugged reliable and inexpensive. I have 4 and all are Glock reliable (I have Glocks too). My P95DC goes with me in the car daily. I have another P95DC brand new in the safe. Bought it because of the recent $40 rebate - hot spare.

Also have a P89, P93 and P97. The Rugers are big and ugly but not as ugly as they were before I owned one. :)

Kel-Tec p32 - great little pocket piece.

Whizz, I've heard some dingbats call a .380 a wussy caliber. I don't think so!!!!
Worth noting is the article in this month's issue of American Rifleman, praising the virtues of the 380. And although I personally wouldn't consider it a primary defensive round, it sure as hell packs a worthy punch as a backup.

I have to chime in on this one, since one of the criteria was "doesn't cost a fortune". Here is what I've spent on my East German Makarov (which is in great condition) so far in preparation to carry:

The gun itself: $185
Shipping of the gun: $17
New Pearce grips: $20
Trigger polishing: $20
New 19# recoil spring: $9
Three extra mags: $21
Key ring to hook through mag release: 20 cents
SmartCarry holster: $45
Belly band: $34

Grand total including carry wear: $351.20

Did I mention that I love my Mak?
;)

I'd have to agree with folks who list the Steyr M series pistols. They are very well made. The M series pistols have some of the best rifling I've seen in a pistol. The fit and finish on these guns certainly equal to that of Glock with safety features and manual of arms equal or better as well.

Also on my list would be:

Ruger P 90 .45 ACP
CZ 75 9mm
Brownining HP .40 S&W
and virtually any .22 caliber target auto currently in production.

hello, i have since added many 45s to my colletion but one of my first was a used duo tone llama 45 one of the old ones i no longer have it because at the time i was told that llamas suck, and i belived it. i still have not bought another(maybe still do a little), but i shot the heck out of that gun and it ran with the best of them i have now .maybe i was lucky ,but i feel that model was a little underrated.:)
