Most enjoyable handguns to shoot

Possibly the Czech CZ-82 (9x18), but the actual Makarovs and P-83s are just as fun. Wish I could say such about three friends' Polish P-64s, but the springs are original.

The WW2 Sauer 38H and Mauser Hsc have even better fit/ergos in my slender hands, but don't want to put excessive wear on my only WW2 handguns.

The "Made In W. Germany" PPK/S was not so fun, and was sold.

Funnest one I ever shot, by far, was the Kel Tec PMR30.

Honorable mentions to Browning Buckmark, Phoenix HP22, and Heritage Rough Rider 6" SA in .22lr.

Centerfires aren't as fun, but I once had a Taurus Raging Bull 8.375" in .44 Mag that I could hit the 200 yard 1/2 size ram with pretty consistently - that was a hoot.

RIA M1911 TCM FS HC 22TCM/9mm combo

By blast to shoot I mean giant fireball blast! 2000+ fps projo from a 5" barrel with hardly any recoil. Can also swap in the 9mm barrel and recoil spring and run your favorite 9mm or 9mm +P :D.

2 guns in one for $650, pretty hard to beat and the quality is incredible for the price. Best gun I've bought to date.

hard to beat a full size wheel gun for "fun", but this is the semi-auto forum, and I am going to go with a full-size Canik/tristar Shrk FC ported barrel.

The guns I find my self taking to the range when I just want to enjoy shooting are:
- Rock Island .22TCM (love the flash/bang)
- Smith Model 29
- Ruger Single Seven

If my Luger hadn't been stolen, it'd be at the top of the list.

I have several 1911s in .45 and 10mm that are a total pleasure to shoot. IMO the 1911 trigger is still unequaled.

I really like the Ruger blackhawk in several different calibers.

Colt Diamondback .22s with the 4" barrel are a hoot and probably the best .22 trainer companion to a combat gun ever made.

SP-01 and Redhawk .44, but with mid-level mags or Spls. I shoot hot loads to stay familiar with the feel, but never more than 2 cylinders. With the milder stuff I could go all day!!

My recently acquired CZ-75 pre-B. There is just something about it that feels better than my 75B which is only five years newer.

For me? The most enjoyable to shoot is a very old Ruger Standard .22 auto; It never fails unless the round is a dud.
