Most enjoyable handguns to shoot

I realize some handguns may be more expensive or have better aesthetics but what guns do you think are the most fun?...

For me its my Hk USP.45c and nEf r22 ultra 6in. The latter is super accurate. I can hit prairie dogs at 70yds using the iron sights. Also my neighbors 1911.

S&W Model 10-8 .38 SPL, 4" heavy barrel. I never get tired of it. Nor my Kit gun J frame .22lr 4" barrel.

Whatever floats my boat at the moment. Sometimes it will be a big bore, or a mid bore, or a small bore. A mild pop may bring on a case of giggles or unleashing thunder and lightning might be required.

The first two are mine the others I really enjoy shooting whenever and if I get the chance.

My 1911's: SA Pro and Baer TRS

Glock 34 with stock 3.5 connector

SIG Sauer P226 in .357 SIG

Ruger Vaquero in .45 Colt

HK P7/M8

Automag .44 Mag

Pre-lock Taurus PT92AFS. Another would be my Ruger 22lr w' red dot scope.

They're all fun, that's the problem.....

A Wilson Combat 1911 ( in any caliber )..
A S&W revolver in .357 mag or .44 mag ( even down to 3" )...
A Sig X-Five in 9mm or .40 ....great guns.

In handguns, it is either a 8" Colt Revolver or my Long Slide SA. But, and I don't do it often enough, it's shooting a tricked-out 10/22 at 100 yards with cheap ammo watching them punch holes with a high powered scope.................................ck

The Whitney!

My vote goes for the original Whitney Wolverine. Those things have a trigger to die for. It's so easy to hit your target, too. When I go shooting, everyone wants to try it out and everyone that has, has said, without exception, that they loved it. Even 100% shooting virgins have no problem hitting their mark and have all said that they had great fun with the ol' Wolverine. Plus, just look at it; it's the most fun looking gun I've ever seen.

I wonder how the new Whitney shoots; I'd like to try one just out of curiosity.

Since people have mentioned revolvers, I'll mention .38 S&W 4" K-frames. They're just great to shoot.

I'd put more of a word in here for my Glenfield 60, too, if this was a rifle forum. That's a real fun one.

:DSeveral guns make me happy and smile whenever I take them to the range.

Like mega twin, I have a diminutive .22lr that is a blast to shoot, the tiny Walther TPH. For no particular reason, I just love that gun.

My Browning Buckmark is just a marvelous combination of perfect trigger and unbelievable accuracy. One of my best buys.

HK makes some great guns and the P2000SK always proves why I carry this jewel. The P7 is another fun gun, part pistol, part laser.

An all day range gun is the compact Kahr T9. Great trigger, great grip.

A classic, a gun made just for my hand... the Sig P232 is a blast. Point, shoot, hit! :)

Then there's the oddball of my fun gun group. Again, I'm not sure why... maybe the low recoil, the accuracy, perhaps the capacity...but i really enjoy cranking up my CZ83 .32acp.

I have others, but this group generally puts a big grin on my face :D, even when I shoot less than well. :o

They're all fun but I'd probably put 1911 .45 ACP's at the top. Have a Colt and a Dan Wesson CBOB and like 'em both the same.

For me:

- My Ruger Mk. II Target model
- HK USP Elite (better trigger I've ever felt on an auto)
- S&W 29 w/ 8-3/8" barrel and light 38 loads. (haven't really shot the Redhawk yet; don't know how that will compare)

I have a PT101 that is a exact match in appearance to Officer Match's one except in 40 S&W.

That and my beater Ruger 95 9mm and especially my Smith Model 10 are all fun to shoot.

So is my Taurus Model 85 Ultralight and my High Standard Sentinel 22 revolver six inch.

And my Mauser HSC is really easy to shoot well too.

Makes a day at the range a test of my ability to make a decision.

And a trip to buy ammo a nightmare.

But a pleasant nightmare.:p

Plus every gun I have bought I bought used so they already have some scratches on them.

So I don't have to worry about range dents or scratches, they are already there.

Enjoy all of them!!!

But to narrow it down to one it would have to be my Ruger MKII. I learned to shoot on the original Ruger "Standard" and have not stopped loving to pull the trigger since!
