Magpul leaving Colorado?????

The Colorado-first campaign is completely brilliant. As someone with a decent sized backorder, I will HAPPILY cede my place in line. Flood Colorado with thirty rounders. Tens of thousands. Hundreds of thousands. Make the stupid law even more useless than it is.
 
Gotta love politicians I guess. I don't know how I missed the boat on such a lazy, simple profession???? I guess it was because I have a backbone, it never occured to me to go into politics. I am glad Magpoul is doing the Mag dump in Colorado. I will be buying some, and a new forend grip for the AR while I am at it I think......maybe a stock too.......

The cynic in me is thinking that Magpul basically just gave "head of the line" privileges to every "flipper" in Colorado who wants to buy some magazines and sell them out of state while the demand is still high and the supplies are still scarce.

Don't get me wrong - it's still a great idea and a nice "thumb in the eye" to the Colorado legislators, but I wonder if it might not have been more effective (in terms of getting more standard-capacity magazine into the hands of Coloradans before they're banned) if they had waited until closer to July and given the market a chance to stabilize first.
 
BTW, their Facebook post mentioned a ten-magazine max per person while they're doing this, so unless you have everyone and your grandmother buying $20 mags to sell for $40, it's probably not worth your time :rolleyes: I applaud them for doing this. The biggest "f$&@ you" is when hickenlooper's signature costs more than $50,000,000 and puts 200 additional people out of work for his feel good law.
 
I probably will have some family members buy some for me (not to flip). Now the real dilemma; how many Pmags could one guy need to last 30-40 years? I'm thinking 20...?
 
They haven't said yet, and they won't move if the mag limit bill doesn't pass. Most people are guessing Wyoming (Cheyenne) because many of the employees could keep their jobs and commute, OR commute for a while and eventually move to WY.
 
I was thinking about moving my business to Co. until they legalized pot and now the crazy gun laws. Wy and Ut are both looking really good to me now
 
Supported Magpul, just ordered a MOE hand guard, trigger guard, angled foregrip and mounting rails. Just need to get a few more things and my AR will be Magpuled out.

I would make sure I posted a letter to the editor, sent copies to all the legislatures and governor, the mayor of the city you would have chosen, and the local news tv channel. If enough folks like you do this with the WHYs of it all, the ensuing publicity might start some of them backpedaling
 
Just tried calling ALL the senators on the panel to be hearing the gun control bills on Monday. All of their inboxes are full, and nobody is picking up phones.

Doubt they're listening though.
 
Just passed Senate Committee, then on to the Senate, then to Gov... watched the testimony today, MAIG and Biden have their fingerprints all over this.
 
Not sure you will see any companies move. I think it is showboating and their bluff will be called. Socialist care little for a couple non government jobs. They will all most likely stay put and sell their products out of state. Eventually they will be forced to relocate out of the country and the squeeze will continue.
 
Magpul gets my business and I'm in Nevada. With the laws they are passing in California even worse, I read about Californians looking for real estate in Nevada. I like Wyoming, Montana so maybe a Californian will buy my place in Nevada and I can move up there.
Face it, politicians are forcing a lot of folks to relocate. I've always loved Colorado and take Harley rides about every year to 4 corners and north. Now I can say "I've seen it a few times" and cross Colorado off my list.
Someday they'll wake up....maybe?
 
Magpul leaving Colo.??

Hi all,
I saw on the news that Colo. has passed new magazine restriction laws. What does this mean? Do they take effect immediately? Will Magpul pick up and leave like they said they would? What's everyone's thoughts?
 
I think the Governor is going to sign the bills today, and the magazine ban would become effective this summer.

As of last night, Magpul has reaffirmed their intention to leave 'almost immediately' if the bill is signed into law, with the first "not made in Colorado" magazines being produced within a month.
 
The Gov is reportedly signing the bill today. Magpul has indicated that they would move to another state if the bill was passed. I sincerely hope they follow through with their threats.

Probably a good idea for them to get out. I was not surprised to hear main stream media praising COs gun control legislation. CO is now a one party state.
Magpul should follow thru with their threat. I am sure COs business climate will change with its one party rule.
