M. Obama's Guards Printing?

They aren't carrying Sub machine guns under their golf polo's or button ups. Chances are like others have stated... its a Glock or a Sig in some sort of OWB paddle holster. I have carried a 1911 and a Glock 17 in Serpa paddle holsters, and it looks to be the same size under their shirts.... nothing bigger. When I carried them it was in the PA winter under a coat, so it wasn't noticeable like they are in the picture.

The guys with the packs/bags COULD have a Sub-gun, but chances are they probably have medical supplies, and other stuff.

When Obama came to speak in my town.... SS was there weeks ahead of time planning and clearing the area, and locked it down. Walking in there were sharp shooters perched on roofs surrounding the area. They take their job very seriously. Like others have stated... some of the SS want you to see them, others, you'll never know who's there.

Hmm...everything looks pretty normal from my angle, but I'm from Arizona.

Lots of folks here pack guns, and not all are discreet about it. No big deal.

Well then none of this yahoos knows how to conceal carry then since Glocks and other such weapons are incredibly easy to conceal without printing. Sorry, I suspect that they have more than a simple Glock or Sig under their shirts.

Lastly, I doubt that they will reveal what weapons that they carry since that takes away from their tactical response if the bad guys know what they are carrying and out gun them by that knowledge.

All I can say is they look a whole lot bigger than some simple Glocks. Just my opinion and I doubt any of us will ever know since that is most likely highly classified information. By the way, there are some very small submachine guns out there now that are easy to conceal.

Since none of us will ever know what they are printing my vote goes for something a whole lot more lethal than a Glock. Just my opinion, you folks are welcome to your own.

God bless,

Alaska

I am sorry, I try not to demean people and be respectful on the forum but after reading your post....you might want to remove the tinfoil hat.

The government in regards to firearms isn't going to try and develop and manufacture its own super secret handgun that fires mini-nukes. That is why there are government contracts and manufacturers compete to submit a firearm within those specs to get awarded the contract. Many firearms in the civilian market were originally designed to try and get a large contraxt, that they didn't win - instead of wasting all that time and money to scrap the idea, they just started selling it on the civilian market.

Classified weapon? It can't be highly classified when agents open carry in many instances. If it is as highly classified as you suggest, they would have to be shooting everyone they saw otherwise the secret of what handgun they use would get out.

I don't know what they carry now, but they used to carry p228s, like many other well funded agencies. They don't carry glocks because they aren't a small PD that doesn't get poorly funded well by its local gov't and rely on the gun manufacturer to help them out in forms of officer trade in credits, discounts, service plans, etc. That is why glock is so popular with police departments.

Take a look at several different angles of the giant secret service agent behind Michele Obama. Michele is listed at about 5'11" so this guy must be about 6'5" or more. He is wearing a tent of a shirt and there is a large object underneath his shirt.

http://www.andalucia.com/history/people/michelle-obama.htm

I am 5'7" and I can easily conceal a large handgun under my shirt without printing. Looking at all of the different angles, I am truly hard pressed to believe that is a Glock or a Sig.

Folks are welcome to their own opinion, no tin hat here my friend, just DOES NOT look like a SA handgun to me. Call me stupid or whatever you want, he has something very large under that huge shirt.

What it is who knows, but if a guy that tall can't conceal a Glock under that shirt, then he doesn't deserve to carry period. What would be the point of printing a simple Glock or Sig so obviously for a giant man to begin with. Being tall and having the ability to conceal carry goes hand in hand especially someone who is obviously fit and trim to boot. What he has underneath that shirt is once again speculation but if you wish me to believe it is just a SA pistol, I don't buy it.

As far as classified, I would love to have anyone show a detailed report on what the SS does carry. You won't find that my friend, just as you won't find other technical details of the SS and how the carry out their details. If they do, then they are pretty dumb.

I have looked back over my posts and all I have stated is that it appears to me that their is something a whole lot bigger than a SA Glock or Sig. Amazing how voicing an opinion gets such a reaction.

In any case, have at it folks, I am done with this place for a good period of time. Simply amazing.

My run in with the SS went a little something like this...

Back in '94 Clinton decided to come to Ft. Drum NY where I was stationed to thank all the guys coming back from Haiti. The advance team was there maybe a week ahead checking out the airfield where I worked. Real professionals...left no stone unturned. They even had a guy that looked like Clinton. They had agents on snowmobiles riding the perimeter.

One of the jokers in my unit put black shoe polish on the TSU of one of the Cobras. (TSU is the sight you look through for sighting the 20mm gun)

So he had the agent in charge look through it. The guy looked like a racoon when he looked up from the sight.:D

Needless to say, we were all "standing tall before the man", getting grilled by the C.O.

I was outside trying to work, but they shut down the airfield when Clinton flew in. They brought in a whole planeload of SS agents armed to the teeth. Couldn't even run up our aircraft while he was on the ground. February in NY can be brutal.:(
From that point on I didn't like that guy.

Who knew somebody that wanted to control my gun rights as bad as Clinton did, would want to be surrounded by so many guys carrying? But that's a story for another day.

No doubt those guys with M. Obama wanted everyone to see the "stay back" message they were sending and didn't care if you could pick them out of a crowd. Sunglasses and earpieces. Like a neon sign.

Maybe they all just threw untucked shirts over their issued P229s carried in their typical OWB holster?

Someone suggested the guys with sling-backpacks might have been carrying blood, saline, and other EMT gear. Clever guess.

Did you know that our current left-wing administration doesn't think firearms are necessary for personal self-defense? You'd think someone like that would be near crazed at the idea of having so many dangerous devices so close to two members of the First Family.

IMO, this forum is not the place for your off topic comment.

MP7 Rumor

MP7?
Of course I have no idea, but it's fun to play. Maybe the big guy has an MP-7. SEALs now have them in their inventory why not Secrete Service? If I could conceal it, thats what I'd carry.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_&_Koch_MP7

I have heard this from various different sources as well and would not be surprised. It's a quite interesting caliber 4.6x30mm that I first saw on the Military Channel's Future Weapons a couple of years back. I'm certainly no SMG expert, but that system seems to be extremely effective.

Looking at the photo and what appears to be a large number of Secret Service Agents and personal assistants assigned to this detail, only solidifies in my mind that there is a considerable waste of taxpayer money going on.

Printing? Not by my definition. A bulge is not printing. If it leaves room for doubt then it is not printing. Printing is when you clearly see the outline of a gun.

I agree.

The only reason you call it "printing" is that you already know they are Secret Service. So you know they are carrying guns.

But if you didn't know who they were and just saw this picture, you may see the bulges and guess they may be packing heat, but wouldn't be certain.

This isn't what I call printing. Printing is when you clearly see the outline of a gun.

Lets just accept the fact the the Secret Service, Office of Diplomatic Security and alot of agencies have access to alot of really cool guns. Some small, some big. They have whatever tools they need to get the job done.

Also, alot of them aren't gun guys, at all. Its a tool. Alot of them may not even care what gun thier buddy is carrying. But, know they are pretty proficient with it.

Also, the guys you see are only there for an immediate threat. I am betting, having worked a few Presidential visits, there are "resources" very close with infinitly heavier firepower. The famous Black Suburban in the motorcade comes to mind. Perhaps a couple quick response teams in rooms along the course they are walking.

In that particular situation, anything more than a handgun for the average threat, would be a bigger liability than a help. Only so many subguns can really be shooting in that crowded an enviroment at a time, no matter how good the operators are. "I" may know I can hit the target, I don't know how other people will react and pop up between me and the threat.

If something bad happened, half the security detail would either snatch Ms obama off her feet and into a doorway or, flatten her like a pancake and make a human shield above her.

Having shot many different machine guns and, being a sub gun instructor, I know for a fact that the full size UZI and the MP5 can be very accurate at the ranges they are expected to be employed at. I haven't played with the newest generation of micro sub guns, but, from my experience, once you get to the size of the Micro Uzi, accuracy and trigger controlled rate of fire, goes south pretty quick. Its good for hosing a room of threats, but, picking one or two targets in a crowd, not so much.

Not like concealed carry for a "civilian" where you don't want people to know you are armed. Everybody knows those agents are armed and they cover their guns only to prevent old ladies from fainting at the sight. And to keep down the bad PR of having armed Americans running around in a foreign country. The local fuzz, if the press makes noises, can always claim they didn't notice.

I thought that after Alaska444 called us all jerks he was going to stop posting?

They're all carrying Desert Eagles with grenade launchers.... Does that get us down to 5th graders?

Nah, a 5th grader would call every black gun an M-16.

Dear Swamp man yankee boy,

If you go back and look at all of my posts, I simply stated several times over that it appeared to me to be a lot more than just a SA Glock or Sig. I also stated it was MY OPINION.

You are also wrong that I called everyone a jerk. I very clearly stated some were jerks for taking my comments out of context and being a jerk in doing so. If the shoe fits man, wear it. Once again, I never called everyone a jerk. Most on this thread have discussed the issues openly understanding that all of our comments are speculation since no one that knows for certain could comment openly and the rest of just get to guess one way of the other., Others have decided to be jerks taking comments out of context implying statements never made. Sorry, that rubs me the wrong way and it is too hot today to just sit back.

If you want to share your own opinions, go for, but don't add something to my comments i never stated nor would state. Jerk is right once again for incorrectly stating I called everyone a jerk, just those that are. If the shoe fits man, wear it.

So Secret Service is packing heat.... like we didn't know that ... what is the flipping point of this thread?

My shoes are size 11 1/2. And they fit fine.

I am pretty sure you said,

In any case, have at it folks, I am done with this place for a good period of time. Simply amazing.

So what happened to change your mind?

Dear Swampmonkey,

If you note until you crept out of the shadows once again, I had stayed off of this thread as I stated I would form the line you quoted. You my friend wish to provoke something, well so be it. If you wish to provoke I will call a spade a spade. So be it. Get a life my friend, if you hadn't put the post above, I would indeed have kept my word to stay off this thread.

Perhaps they will simply close it and enshrine this garbage for all posterity.

Great discussion.
