I know one of those people in that photo and he is not SS, he works for State Dept. bureau of diplomatic security.:D

Is it just me or are those satchel things the kind one see's in gun rags like S.W.A.T. or Guns and Weapons for Law Enforcement and suchlike. The ones that show how you can "conceal" a collapsed MP-5 or suchlike. And I would bet my gun collection there are at least two SMG or small assault rifles in that bunch. The Secret service Rolls heavy, if they were carrying Uzi's with Reagen, you can bet there carrying something better now.

old bear, that would be the HK briefcase gun, it was a MP-5k stockless. The old FBI agent that told me about it(i have independantly verified this) said that there were a couple of instances of guys trying to look cool on the range and shooting it from their side un-supported and ended up putting round in their leg from the recoil.

This photo, I see a very LARGE object I suspect is at least 12 inches in length on his right hip. I see printing of an object on his left hip and both pockets.
I keep looking at your tiny pictures, but for the life of me, I don't see anything that looks to be more than 8".

If you simply enlarge the photos for yourself, sorry, I cropped them and enlarged but it didn't transfer when I uploaded it, in any case, if you go from the bottom of the object to the top it starts at the MCP joint of his right thumb and then about 3-4 inches below his elbow.

I just measured the same area on my arm and it is about 9.5 or 10 inches. I am 5'7'' and the guy next to Michele who is 5'11' towers over her and must be at least 6'4" at a minimum. That could easily give it another 2-3 inches easily placing that object in the range of 12 inches. Measure your own arm and see for yourself.

This is so funny :D I can spot them a mile away. It reminded the time I went from OC>CC in my yard cleaning my car, didn't want someone sneaking up on me, I still had the huge print. lol

I swear one of them had a machine gun under his shirt. ;)

That's not a briefcase, it's the railing or curb behind him.

If you enlarge the photo, you will clearly see that the object is tucked up under his armpit. It does not have the appearance of a handrail, nor do you see a handrail behind him. It is a clearly a case of some sort. ? weapon ? communications????

Obama can't swim!...

Hey all you anti POTUS Obama forum members, don't choke on your hater-aide! :)

BHO was duely elected by our US general public.

Just wade in the water a few more months, change will soon come! ;)

Speaking of water, some of this anti-Obama chatter reminds me of the old DC area joke; President Obama sees a small child drowning in a lake, he bursts out onto to the water in a few strides and pulls the child up. President Obama protectively holds the grateful child and walks directly on top of the deep water. Fox News Channel reports; OBAMA CANT SWIM!
Lol.

I met George W. Bush back in 2000. Got to shake his hand and held hands with him in a small prayer circle, got his autograph, etc for some publicity photos.

As I recall, the obvious "uniformed" Secret Service were armed with what I believe were Sig pistols carried OWB under suit jackets/blazers. Also, I spotted 2 agents with MP5Ks with single point slings worn under open jackets. Some wore body armor and others didn't seem to wear it. When we did the little prayer it was a group of 4 and the president. There were six obvious guys near within 25 feet of him, a "press guy" in a plaid shirt and jeans (concealed pistol) pretending to take notes on a clipboard and suggesting where to stand for "good lighting."

There was an undercover agent pretending to be a photographer (cared more about where he was standing in relation to the other photographers than the pretend photos) and carrying a camera bag with unknown contents (none of the real photographers had similar bags.)

Lastly, I don't know for "100%" certain but believe that (at least) one of us supporters from the crowd (of which only about a maximum of six was every allowed within arms reack at single time) because he was didn't bow his head during the prayer and was wearing lightweight jacket and it was over 70 degrees outside.

So, I can only imagine how many more agents I didn't notice! This was in 2000 (so PRE-9/11 attacks and increased security) when I was 18 years old and not nearly as aware of people carrying concealed and my surrounding enviroment.

Also, I think it is VERY important to keep in mind the main goal of the secret service is to protect the life of the president. That means they are less concerned about shooting or catching an attacker; as they are with keeping the president from being on the receiving end of said attack. In other words, they will FIRST block an attack/shot/explosion with their own person, evacuate the president and THEN worry about returning fire/capturing the assailant.

Stop all the stupid bickering about what is under the agent's shirt. It doesn't really matter anyway and you sound like a 6th grader arguing about something trivial. However, if you REALLY want to know what is under his shirt or more specifically under his right arm, I will tell you.

Concealed under the Secret Service agent's shirt and worn securely under his right arm, which is presumedly his "strong side" is.........

Deodorant! :D My guess would be Old Spice High Endurance Invisible Solid. IIRC they switched over to that from Right Guard Clear Gel in the late 90's.

SS Detail
Those guys have my respect. Out of the entire detail there probably isn't one who likes either of the O'Dramas but they put their lives on the line because they have sworn an oath to do so.
Don't sell short the lowly Uzi. I have one and like it. I also have an XM-15e2 that fits in a briefcase and I can carry it anywhere it's legal to do so with no printing and no hysteria. Regards

I agree with you.

I have what I call a 'poor mans' UZI if you will--it's also a foldable 9mm carbine that I bought NIB five years ago for $279 and it also fits in a briefcase, namely, the Kel-Tec Sub-2000.

No, it's nothing that he's carrying. It doesn't deform his shirt, and the light isn't reflecting off of it right, not to mention nobody would carry it like that anyway. It's not a handrail, it's some sort of low beam/curb/shelf/wall that runs along the edge of the street. The bottom portion of it (below the reflection) is the same color as the vertical post behind it, and the reflected part could be the same color as well, or possibly a grayish. My guess would be it's simply the raised floor of the establishment there.

It looks to me as if the "object" is the bottom edge of the store window the agent is walking past: note the way it appears to intersect the vertical part of the frame that's behind the agent's left shoulder.

There's no "object" tucked under the man's armpit; but it does look to me as if both he and the man in the frumpy blue untucked shirt are wearing shorty vests underneath.

Those fellas look a lot snappier when they're wearing suits. They should've gone for unconstructed sport coats, at least, for better concealment, easier access, and a much nicer overall look. It's not like they're fooling anyone into thinking they're tourists.

These agents are not just carrying Glock’s and or Sig’s. These guys are heavily armed with at the bare minimum submachine guns. They might not all be heavily armed but there are definitely quite a few of them that are. They have to be able to respond to just about any kind of threat imaginable, and you can bet that are ready and prepared. They have years of experience under their belt, and they don’t have worry about concealing as much as the average citizen does. If it prints it prints…

I spot 3 off the bat. Also I believe the portly guy in front is also carrying and the guy in the back in the dark blue polo. They are printing rediculous though, theres a bullseye on them .
