Wow, they roll deep! I count at least 9, if not 10 Secret Service agents in the pic... and I'm sure I'm missing a few.

The 3 that I can immediately tell are packing something on their right hip are:
- The man in the lower left, blue and white polo
- The taller, bald gentleman in the khakis (button up shirt, untucked)
- The man in the lower right of the pic, white and black polo

I wonder if the guys with the satchels / backpacks in the group are packing something with a bit more punch than a handgun?

Sure are a lot of serious looking tourists wearing the same shades and highly aware of their surroundings in that town. Were there any tourists? :)

EVERY single person in the forefront is security or staff. Then you have at least four more in the background (3 rear facing and one forward facing with sunglasses.) Also, I count 3 uniformed local military/law enforcement in blue uniforms. The man facing forward (near the forward facing sunglasses guy) in the upper left in-focus part of the picture MIGHT be staff (not likely security) too. There is more than likely addition local uniformed and additional secret service ahead of the group you see in the photo. The picture appears to be taken with zoom lens probably from a 2nd or 3rd story balcony/window further down the street based on the focus and angle if the photo.

Did you know that our current left-wing administration doesn't think firearms are necessary for personal self-defense? You'd think someone like that would be near crazed at the idea of having so many dangerous devices so close to two members of the First Family.

Just like a cop car always screams “cop car” you cannot disguise a cop.

I see:
Well, forget identifying them. I see at least twenty-six, five are women, maybe six.
Check those obviously printing and those wearing sunglasses.
Also note they are all carrying what appears to be a pen stuck in their shirt but is probably a microphone.
And way in the background there appears to be about six watching the crowd in the cross-street.
Actually, as I look at it more, it seems everyone in that alley except Michelle and Sasha are cops, and maybe even they are packing; notice the slight bulge on Michelle’s right hip, and she’s touching it like someone doing the Wally-Walk the first time.

Even the guy on the balcony is likely a cop because all those down on the street are paying him no notice; likely because they know he’s one of them.

The guy in the doorway, at the blue front, seems to be watching the crown more than gawking at the First Lady, odd.

The guy in the white polo with black stripe seems to be packing a “doomsday” box.

And we can’t see if there are more in front of the guy in light blue.

I wonder if she even met a real Spaniard while there.

Some serious protection there. Has anyone noticed that if the person taking the picture could just as well been using something other than a camera and this would have been on cnn. Doesn't look like miss Obama is wearing body armor either.

Maybe the question should be...where is the tourist or a local resident..kind of like a where's Waldo picture......

I remember reading quite a few years ago, about a political rally, which I think was in the US, where it was revealed later that the entire crowd was made up of political staffers , security and hires from a casting company, so that the impression could be given to the media that it was a big deal....

Sometimes these photo opportunities that get splashed on CNN etc make me wonder.

I lost count at 18 guards, I think it's safe to assume that everyone on foot in the allay way is local security of secret service.
And Shame on me, until Edlink pointed it out, I did not even think about the ladies as security:o
I also wounder who the folks on the balcony (upper left side) are.

Want to spot a cop (in plain cloths), find a hooker.

I've never seen anyone better at picking out cops then hookers.

They may be printing, but after all, they ain't carrying a snub nose revolver under those shirts. Not sure what type of submachine gun they have, but it is a lot more fire power than any of us can legally carry.

No. I can guarantee you they are carrying Glocks or Sigs. Spray bullets all you want, for taking out a small number of targets at close range, you don't need a submachine gun and you ain't going to conceal it under your button down shirt.

Really? They're all carrying sub machine guns under those tight golf shirts? Doubtful considering the standard issue Secret Service wepaon is a Sig Sauer. The ones with the satchels are probably rolling SMG's but not all of them.

And many of them are looking directly at the camera!

Printing? Not by my definition. A bulge is not printing. If it leaves room for doubt then it is not printing. Printing is when you clearly see the outline of a gun.

Ok, we all know these guys are not carrying big cell phones.:D

BTW, note the guy with the shoulder bag. Probably a sub machine gun, but he is not printing.

Anybody believe that the balcony folks were not vetted beforehand?

The truly impressive stuff, to me, is not what the guards are packing under their poorly tailored outfits, but it's the prior preparation the S.Servic does long before the party starts.
