Lou Dobbs: Give it a rest, Mr. President

To me, this man is laughable. 9/11 is his rallying cry for everything but he refuses to close our Southern border. You can't wage a war on terror and leave the back door open for any one to walk into this country. To be steadfast on stopping terrorists by continuing this war in Iraq but refusing to close our border shows that he isn't concerned with protecting America at all. I'm not sure what his end game is, but I'm not sure its a democracy.

] Can't stop globalization. America competes with countries that have huge pools of low cost labor (China, India). We need to import our own huge pool to compete in the 21st century.

I think you may have it here, level the playing field bring down American wages to match other countries, it won't affect the wealthy so why not.

Normally 4 motivators in life money, power, love or sex, I will let you decide.....;)

Care to answer why the Republicans didn't do a damned thing for the entire time they had control of both houses?

Ummmm.....well.....ya see, it was done, but there was this big dog. A big, friendly dog, but he was really hungry, and the text of the bill was on the table, and he was able to get to it, and ya see, he loves to chew......

(the dog ate my homework)

Shoulda Coulda Woulda. That kind of stuff is enough to anger your base and make you lose elections......

Anybody else know whether I'm right about specific appropriations? I think I am, but that's not good enough. I'll try and find out more today, and I'll let you know what I find.

Man, I'm trying to put off all of the backyard yard work that awaits....

One chant needs to be repeated.

WHERE'S THE FENCE?

Sounds good, but leaves room for disingenuous replies and obfuscation.

I prefer a more direct approach.

Something like......"BUILD THE DAMN FENCE!!!"

That could become the next "Remember the Alamo!"

Bingo! Like engineering problems, usually the simple answers is the most correct answer.

I just watched the Dobbs video.
I'm even MORE sick about this whole hting!!

Once we could tame the rivers with vast concrete edifices to make them do our bidding.

Once we could turn out a ship a day to support a war.

Once we could build interstates as arteries of concrete and asphalt, coast to coast.

And now we can't build a fence.

:barf:

Oh, and:
Amnesty for gang members!
Suggest that people remember how they voted, when they hear "pinche gringo" hissed at them before being knifed.

Yes,

Once we fought a revolution to establish a Country with secure borders.

Once we passed the IV amendment to our constitution to guarantee all future Americans the right to secure borders.

Once we had a President swear an oath to protect and defend this Country.

Now we have a President that says if we give support for his immigration bill he might....if we say pretty please.....then possibly he will think about securing our borders.

Bush's rich friends want the illegals here. Big-agriculture and construction are only two of the industries which profit from using illegal labor, not to mention all Bush's rich friends who need their lawns mowed...

Of course all these illegals don't come free. Regular Americans pay a big price for the cheap labor used by these corporations. But Bush and his rich friends don't particularly care about regular Americans, so he doesn't mind pushing for this bad bill to become law.

We can and should deport the 12 million illegals. They have committed a successful invasion, and should be driven out. I describe this invasion as a "soft invasion", invaders trickling across the border in small groups for decades until they pose a significant threat, as they do now. Soft or not, it is an invasion none the less, and in my opinion invaders in my land are my enemies. Drive them out. I don't think it would be unreasonable to use landmines if it comes to that extreme in order to keep them out. Only a few people would ever be so stupid as to be blown up by them.

Americans are not allowed to own land in mexico, yet the mexicans believe that they have every right to illegally invade our country and claim it as their own. These people are not our friends.

Bush does not care. He's got his, and the Secret Service will keep it and him safe and far away from regular Americans forever, and regular Americans will pay for that privelege too.

EDIT: And the Democrats too, for all the same reasons.

Bush is a disgrace. He will go down in history as one of our worst presidents ever. I dont feel guilty, i didnt vote for the clown either time and i am guessing that many who did wouldnt for a 3rd time if he were eligible.

They COULD solve this problem if they wanted to. The money is there, the will to stop this invasion isnt.

The most rediculous part of the whole thing to me is Shrub and Booze bag Kennedy saying "we have to bring these people out of the shadows"

I guess when you live in an ivory tower you might be insulated from the real world, but these GIMMEgrants are hardly in the shadows. They are running the streets of America with impunity.

The fence is a ridiculous idea that will not work
.

I'm sure the Chinese and the Israelis would disagree!

The fence itself is just part of the equation.
Coupled with agents and high tech gear, a physical barrier would certainly hinder attempts at getting through.
And it's TWO fences with a road between them.
Get over #1, they're busted at #2.

It's official, La Raza (The Race) is now in control. On Lou Dobbs tonight the head of La Raza said that we must.....must pass the immigration reform bill to have border security. She then went on to say that they (la Raza) had numbers to show that the vast majority of Americans agree with her.:barf:

BTW, when they say The Race, what do they mean? Normally I say The blank to mean the best of something, or the leader, or the significant one.

Bush is a disgrace. He will go down in history as one of our worst presidents ever.

Absolutely totaly agree.

But what if we were to merge into some sort of glorious
North American Union Empire?

For anyone thats read the Immigration bill just search out the part with SPP and follow the logical preceding and progression CFR and Project for New American Century.

Gonzales the AG is a member of La Raza of coarse the borders wont be secured we have the fox guarding the hen house.

The people of this nation have been fooled for years. There were people trying to warn us but they had poor rational in there message and they were from a side known to be corrupt sadly now both sides are corrupt.

Dont you all just love how the media and especially Fox News lied saying the bill was dead?

I stopped listening to them a while ago but did notice they have said for 3 weeks in a row on Thursday and Friday dont worry folks the bill is dead. Only to be picked up the following Monday.

What I think is one of the scariest things in the Bill are that DHS and any Federal Agency that can have roadblocks nation wide and anybody violating them will face 2 to 20 years in prison and any vehicle caught with smuggling compartment loses the vehicle.

Can you say Papers Please!

Just info only.
I lived out West and it is not unusual to come up on a temporary border patrol check point on interior roads well away from the border. You only normally have to barely stop before they wave you through, but they can ask citizenship and ID. New Mexico & Texas are most common. For some reason this is never in the news. New people from the East are very surprised when they have to stop for border patrol way away from the actual border. Of course US border patrol are federal officers so state lines really don't matter.

Also, we had a border patrol stopping point on I-15 50 miles north Of San Diego...across the entire freeway. In operation 24/7. Well when it rained they opened the lanes. No one knows how to drive in the rain in those areas. You know, 90 miles per. and border agent in the way!

Also one on I-5 coast hwy.

"She then went on to say that they (la Raza) had numbers to show that the vast majority of Americans agree with her."

where are they getting these numbers? must be at the pro illegal GIMMIgrants rallies.

the vast majority of Americans DO NOT support this bill, and thats exactly why it will get passed.

Some perspective.....
Very disturbing facts.

At least a link, maybe?

Just use this.

http://www.heritage.org/

Look under research data for immigration.

To be honest, (just for me) I am no longer really concerned about convincing people that are completely for open borders they are wrong. These numbers about costs of illegals are basically correct, but any time they are posted those in favor of open borders always find ways not to believe them. No problem for me. To each his own belief.

I am more concerned for the present that we alert people that are interested in border security that it was never necessary to pass any bill to accomplish that goal. We do need some good immigration legislation, but first we need to secure our borders. Bush is playing a game. He knows he can secure our borders but he wants to leave that as a bargaining chip for the flawed Bush, Kennedy, McCain immigration bill.

I will add this from first hand experience. I lived in areas of high illegal influx. In all cases our taxes & social services costs went up. Things did not get better because we had this supply of so called cheap labor...it got more expensive. Makes common sense. When an illegal gets free medical care that usually costs many times more than he is saving the economy in cheap labor. If this was not the case then many cities would be begging for illegals...people like economic success. Anyway, for now I think our main focus should be to secure our borders.
