Just sold a safe queen that I know I will regret later, but that's history.

I have $1650 to spend on a handgun....I need something that will be easily CCW. But something...unique that will fill a certain nitch....

No revolvers...just not a revolver guy....have one...that's all I want.

Here is what I have so, don't want anything that will duplicate these....

Don't need HK P7M8, HK P30, HK P2000SK, Ed Brown Kobra Carry, Colt Viper, Colt Defender, Colt Government Model 1911, Colt Mustang Pocketlite, Kimber Covert Ultra II, Robrbaugh R9, Sig 239SAS, Sig P232, Walther PPK German 1966

So.....what you recommend that I run out and get?

I'd keep the money and spend it on bullets and range time, but that's just me. I'm such a party pooper aren't I? :)

I don't think the economy is going to crash. We're just in a downturn that may last a year or two.

Save your money; the World Economy is heading for a crash...

Wait ... If thats the case then SPEND YOUR MONEY while it's still worth the paper it is written on!!

I'm gonna have to agree w/ "44mag" and suggest buying more ammo. It's not nearly as fun as a new gun but... a gun with no ammo is an expensive paper weight.

If you've got the ammo situation handled then I would look at this -

it fits the "unique" description, and let's be honest - Who doesn't need a hand engraved Para Carry ?:)

A Kahr MK would be nice as well... just a thought.

I almost forgot my # 1 reccomendation - 4 Glocks!

If you wanna spend it all and desire to print badly...
Hk Mk.23 or
Sig X-5

If you want something different, buy two or three from below...
CZ-75 sp-01 phantom
COP .357 Magnum/.38 4 Shot Barrel Derringer
BHighpower
FNP.45 USG
Kahr minis in .45

Sixer,

Wish I had gotten the Para link earlier.....that's a nice weapon.

The economy may crash.....but if it does....guns trump gold anyday of the week:D

Thanks for those ideas.....

Buy yourself ...

a Seecamp 380. It's the one you'll carry.

BTW ... it's a two cents opinion and worth every penny too.

Which safe queen did you sell?

To be honest, if you don't really like revolvers, you already have your bases covered with pistols.

Time to branch out.

Do you have a sweet over/under shotgun?

How about a nice rifle?

Back to the subject. Assuming you really want another pistol, how about the most beautiful CCW pistol currently made?

That would be a Beretta 85FS. Then, spend a few hundred getting it smithed to be even nicer, buy an extra mag or two, and reload for it. (If you don't reload already)

He'll need alot more money for a Korth....

I never would recommend them after the experince I had, but have you ever thought about a Kimber RCP? I looked at one the other day and it was really something. Alot smaller and lighter than I expected. Here's another I like but cant bring myself to spend on....

I'd grab a 1911 Dan Wesson Bobtail. About 900-1000.
Either that, or, if you are in a free state, the Detonics Commander sized gun, a Colt Commander, or a Detonics Combatmaster if you want the best small carry gun ever made.

I think Wilson makes a few guns you can get used in that general price range, but, an Ed Brown is a lot more, and, few people can see the fit or shooting difference between a Dan WEsson and a Ed Brown. I looked at the two together, and, I could sort of see it, but, it was stuff I wasn't real intrested in.

I'm a big fan of the HK P7M8.

This went for $1250 used, last April

If you can find one NIB and get an appropriate holster, your budget will be spent. Just hope you never have to use it defensively or the gun could be gone, too, as evidence. Used P7 M8s in 95% or better condition, two mags, box & papers are now selling for upwards of $1250. The P7 M13s have been over $1600 for a while now in the same condition. It's a unique firearm, less than 6-3/4 long and just over 5 inches high, very fast handling, and very accurate,
