Go a new Beretta Tomcat.

Took it out of the box to the range. shot 3 box's of ammo. flawless. very solid little gun.

How do you like it so far?
I have not actually shot this one yet, but I did shoot a rental one (as well as the 5" version).

I found it to be accurate, easy to fire, well balanced, and very easy to handle as far as recoil goes. I liked the combination of trigger and grip safeties also.
 
Glad to hear that, it would have been a shame if you didn't like your first plastic pistol.

And if you don't mind, I have another question. What's the capacity with and without the extended magazine?

Keepin' it simple ...

My newest is the Gp-100 - just bought it and it shoots great.
Next is a NM Blackhawk in .41 Mag that I converted - another excellent shooter and I can't wait to bust a Deer with it.
Then the DW 744V 4" - I don't believe there is a more accurate/reliable gun made. This one has taken Deer.
