Wake up America.. fight while you can.

Illegal Aliens are here to stay..
I live in los angeles and we are doomed. The illegals have taken this city over and anyone who lives here can tell you that. For all you people that live in the real free states fight it with everything you have... go to the anti-illegal protest, vote, donate money, whatever.. just do what you can while you can to fight this threat that has already won California.

We are lost here.. fight on.
 
America is too concerned over who their next American TV Idol will be.

Migration Illegal?

I don't think we can stop the migration of people from poor economies to rich economies. It's a natural human desire to work hard to make things better for self and others. I can't condemn my fellow humans from the South for wanting the very things that I value about our Nation.

Here in SE Oklahoma we have a good number of migrants from the South. Most of them are hard workers and honest.

I hope we can upgrade our immigration system to deal effectively with the "illegal" alien problem.

If you don't live in Southern California as I do, you wouldn't understand or even believe me when I tell you bad it's gotten. 20 years ago I thought like you do, these are just poor hard working folks who need a break. Today we have hospitals closing because they have to treat illegals for free, our schools are over crowded with non english speaking kids, there's graffitti everywhere, our jail and prison systems are streached to the max. We've absorbed enough, how many uneducated poor folks do you think my state can support? Now these illegals are marching in the streets making demands. You really need to spend some time here to fully appreciate the affect of unchecked borders.
By the way, the illegals that do file tax returns usually get more back from the system then they put in, which also tweaks my a@#. I just filed my returns last week, between myself and my wife we paid the system over 26k in state and federal taxes and I can't even afford to buy a house. I've had take one of my kids to the emergency room a few months ago and guess what...it was chock full of illegals!
In the old days immigrants were expected to assimalate and it worked well, drive around LA now it looks like a Tiajuana.
Sorry about the rant, but when someone from the midwest suggests that it's not as bad as it really is, they just haven't been there and done that!
 
Alright, after some beer & pool last night with some friends, the topic of immigration comes up. Interesting viewpoints all around, the one thing everyone was sure of was the concept of 'service for citizenship'. With all the recruiting shortfalls, why hasn't someone thought of this before? Or is this a bad idea just due to the general inneffectiveness of conscripted armies? Imagine though, 2 years service and you get to be a proud amurican. Your thoughts please.
 
They don't speak english/not educated

Unless you plan on using them to clear mine fields they wouldn't be of much use.
I recently had to have my guys checked at work for vision (aerospace factory). Many couldn't read a few simple phrases in english or spanish on a jaeger eye chart. At first I thought I had a lot employees with poor vision and found out later that they just couldn't read.

i'll take a hispanic who speaks limited english over someone who talks ebonics anyday.

Clarification to above post

The few who have joined our armed forces and are willing to fight are the exceptions. Those are the ones that actual want to be Americans legally. Most are from rural areas in Mexico with little or no education or skills. Most haven't had any sort of vacinations growing up so now TB and a few other fun contagiuos diseases are cropping up. These people want to come here, make some money and send as much as possible home, perhaps get some free medical care and have a few babies. They are not like the immigrants of old. They aren't interested in learning the language or living the culture. They bring Mexico with them when they come. If they were legal they would have to pay real taxes, buy auto insurance, join a health care plan etc. They drive 300.00 cars so that when they get in a accident they just walk away before the cops come. We recently had an incident (So. Cal) where an illegal caused a fatal accident on the freeway and just took off, when the next car stopped to render aid it was hit and that good samaritan was killed, that driver fled the scene also.
Why would they want to become legal? It's so much easier to be free of the constraints and responsibilities of the documented citizen.
 
The government will do nothing. The people are the only ones that can do anyhting. This country will slowly die from a cancer streaming across the border. There are enough people here that are poorly educated and can't read. How long can we absorb the trash that wants to come here? Republicans are to scared to be called racists and democrats want them here. The dems want all the illegals that will come so they can change the power structure of this country because they should be able to vote:barf:?
 
Yes but sending them to iraq seems preferable than back to mexico then back to the states. As for being illiterate, wouldn't/couldn't the lack of a signing bonus cover english teachers? With all the education advances of the last thousand years, we can't teach people to speak in a relatively short period of time? Furthermore, even if uncle sam couldn't get them in fighting condition, aren't there some things that might need to be done that they're admittedly good at? (not to go too far but with all the subcontracting going on...might even save a little money. Could be a 299 billion dollar war :D ) Wonder if they need some good foundations dug where we're putting those PERMANENT bases in iraq?

You're right, there are probably many things they could do that would be helpful. The trick is making that more of an incentive than just living here illegally.

they are the reason you have fresh vegtables for less than a weeks wage. next time you buy a head of lettuce ask yourself " what would i have to pay a white or black american to pick this 10 hours a day? how much would it cost me to pay that person min wage, federal holidays SS insurace, workers comp insurance, overtime? how would that affect the price of this head of lettuce?"

California's problems with over indulgence are not new nor are all California's problems caused by migrants from the South. Californians have been mushy headed on their public policies for half a century now.

You are correct in saying that California has problems that need fixing and that's exactly why I live in SE Oklahoma.

Then after you add that up balance it against how much it costs for:
Educating each familys 6 kids.
The cost of incarceration after their kids drop out of school and start gang banging.
The medical costs of a lifetime of free medical care.
Food stamps.
Accidents caused by uninsured drivers.
The cost of bi-lingual teachers and police.

There are also many hidden costs and emotional costs such as seeing your neighborhood transformed into little Mexico, having to see graffitti everywhere, having half your tv and radio stations in spanish, the list goes on and on. I'm telling you, you guys that don't live in California have no idea!

Give me the 5 dollar head of lettuce any day!
 
the previous PSE comment doesn't deserve comment..:rolleyes: :rolleyes: ...anyway...pick up the crumbs and the ants leave...I want honest American companies paying honest wages and charging honest market prices...not making dishonest profits promoting dishonest business practices and enticing ignorant consumers into false security(cheap bargins)...which the country will pay for severly later...but that is the difference between wisdom and foolishness..I can grow all the lettuce I want in my back yard if prices surpass that of a mercedes(according to the previous commentor's wild estimations..)
