If you had to pick only ONE 40 S&W CCW pistol What would it be

Smith&Wesson SW40E... NOT!!!!!!!
Seriously, the thought of owning/shooting anything with the name S&W associated with it in any way, makes me want to retch.

What Smith did puts a bad taste in my mouth, but this is what I truly believe. The majority of firearms manufacturers will make consessions when push comes to shove. It's all about money not about the 2nd Amend.

My only hope is there will be some kind of law that limits the manufacturers liability.

Para Ord P-16 40 Limited either 18+1 in 40S&W or convert it to 10mm and have 18+1 in 10mm. Either package you can't go wrong.

After handling one at the gun show last weekend, my choice for a .40 CCW weapon is the Kahr P40. It's very concealable, the quality is excellent, and Kahrs have a great rep. This is the next gun on my shopping list.

first choice .40

G22 shoots great, 15+1 capacity and if you shoot enough lead, it doubles as a hand grenade.;) :D

I have 3 - a Browning HP .40, a Glock 23 and and a Kahr K40. I like them all. But since you stipulated concealed carry, I would heartily recommend the Kahr. It fits in the waistband easily and is amazingly accurate for a DAO style pistol. It is considerably easier to conceal than the other two. I've carried this pistol many places and always felt well taken care of. It isn't as pleasurable to shoot as the other two but for its intended purpose it's great.

I'd be willing to carry any of several .40s, but would prefer the Glock 23. Not too big, not too heavy, reliable. and easy to shoot.

I must be the only guy around these parts who carrys a Heritage Stealth 40. It's small, light (26 oz loaded), plenty accurate, has fed everything I've tried & has proven quite reliable. I originally bought it for the holster on the stem of my bicycle, because it was the only thing I could find in the $250-$300 range that was plastic & stainless (it sometimes rains while bicycling) & had an ambi. safety. (I'm a lefty) After shooting it, I was amazed at how light the recoil is with it's delayed blowback action, and how comfortably it carrys in an Alessi Talon +.

I carry a beretta 9000s in .40 cal. It hides alright, holds 10 in the mag, and bullets fly out when I pull on the trigger.I've been looking at a glock 27 real hard though...
