If you had to pick only ONE 40 S&W CCW pistol What would it be

Glock 27, night sights and +1 extension......this suggestion was real original but a good gun obviously appeals to everyone.

Hard to choose - either the glock 27 or the Glock 23. The Glock 23 is 1/2" longer & 1/2" taller, but carries 4 more rounds. Probably simpler to just buy one of each.

Glock 29 with Novak Trijicons.
Why play with the baby 40 when you can carry its daddy, the 10mm?

I don't want them getting up after the first shot. 650-700 fpe should end most discussions. Too many cops around here have reported failures to stop with the 40SW.

40SW is better than a 9mm but the 45 ACP makes bigger holes and the 10mm punches them harder with greater expansion past the one inch mark.

Fire suit on!

My daily carry is a Kel-Tec P-40. Carried IWB using a belt clip.

A very small & light DAO with 10 round capacity. Ideal for defense ranges 0-15 yards since it points so naturally for me. The long DAO pull does take some getting acquainted with.

Make it the...

...SIG P229, as mine has been perfectly reliable from the day I took it out of the box.

Not to mention that it is the most accurate .40 Auto pistol that I have ever fired.

HK USP 40C

HK 40C...

And unless I've heard wrong...you can turn it into a .357
in about 5 minutes...

So it's versitile too.

Smith&Wesson SW40E... NOT!!!!!!!
Seriously, the thought of owning/shooting anything with the name S&W associated with it in any way, makes me want to retch. :barf:

I am new here and I am really go out on a limb with this..

Carried the S*W model 410 for a while but now I carry the Taurus PT-140. You have to appreciate a pistol that is almost the same size as a snubnose 38/357 but as a 10+1 capacity and a frame mounted safety. The little bugger can kick like a mule and the trigger feels like you are pulling against sandpaper (until it smooths out).

If I was built a little larger I would carry the Walther P99 in .40 cal.

My Steyr M40. It's the only 40 I have..

But I think if I had the pick of the litter, My Steyr is a bit big, something like a Kahr probably.
