If you could only have ONE .45, which would it be?

I think I would choose a decent platform with my favorite personal options, then get one of those Gas Gun barrels installed ncggasgun.com . The non-ramped model is $450 which would possibly leave you with a target gun within your budget, that betters some of the finest custom guns costing twice that.

If I could only have one forty-five?
It would be a Glock 36, stretched down to accept a single-stack 10 round magazine. It would have a 4 1/2" to 5" barrell. It would be the old-style frame without finger grooves or rails. In essence, it would be a 45 on a Glock 40 frame.

I'd put a set of Heine's straight eight sights on it, and install a 3 1/2# connector. Actually, I think I'd get about five of these. (Mr. Gaston Glock, If you're watching, take note).

My 3rd gen G21, not my 2nd Gen G21, or my Springfield 1911 or Colt 1991A1, nor my S&W625 and not even my S&W745, or my G30!

PS: Gabe, I think you will be waiting a long time for Gaston to respond to your idea....
I would like to see a practical/tactical single stack full size Glock .45acp

Les Baer Premier II! (OK, I cheated on the price).

If you really want to hold me to that $1,000 thing I would probably choose my Glock 30.
