The only time I don't carry is when on college campus (don't feel like getting kicked out of college).. otherwise it's always with me.

I too carry 100% of the time except prohibited areas. Why have a ccp if your not intending to carry as much as you possibly can?

I own my own business, so the only time the hardware is out of reach is during the time I volunteer in the local schools (which is several hours a week) and when I am in the shower.

My work does not allow me to carry even to the parking lot but I lock my Keltec in the car anyway. I work nights and drive through Houston at Midnight. Better to lose a job than my life. Any other time 24/7 except in the post office or a bank.

Carry a small piece but carry it always. You'll leave the big cannons at home. Had my CHL for almost 4 years and just renewed it.

Always

Once I started carrying it became a habit...and it feels weird if I check and it's not there, sort of like feeling for your wallet and its not there!
(sinking feeling, cold sweat, trying to remember where you had it last!)

You asked a question that defines why I despise caliber snobs....

caliber snobs, don't bash me. I agree that More Power ='s better, as long as all other parameters are equal. For everyone that tries to convince others that they need no less than a .45 (or .40, or 9mm) for CCW, I cringe because that individual may well get very tired of carrying a bulky firearm very quickly. Own what is comfortable and you KNOW FOR FACT that you will carry.

With that said, if you carry that .45 every single day, then good for you. You've got one up on me. I'm lazy, and will not carry that .45 every day. SOOOOO... I have a little .32. I have a very capable 9mm BDE that conceals well enough, but isn't very comfortable. I carry it some days, or if I'm going somewhere I'm not comfortable going. Most of the time, it's the little Astra in .32 that I can stick IWB, in the pocket, or wherever else is comfortable.

This is my first post here. But this subject has always had me thinking. My work use to not let us have ours in our car but now the law says we can. They still don't allow us to carry while on duty and I don't.

But let me ask this what stops us from carrying at work? It is concealed and it should stay 100% concealed meaning no one would ever know you had it anyhow. I am talking about work on non government or otherwise against the law properties.

I just dislike that a company can tell me to go into the worst parts of one of the top 10 worst crime cities in America and I have to leave my CW in my truck at work. Makes a lot of sense.

i used to carry 24/7, but i now work in a federal building and can't carry and don't want to leave in my car/truck. Mainly carry a knife (boker ak74) nowadays.

do carry on occasions when I know I am going in a shady part of town or gonna be carrying something valuable or when I am going out late at night to get something at the grocery store (wife is pregnant and has those crazy 2AM cravings a lot  )

Just picked up a P-32 to drop in the pocket (sold my seecamp long ago and regretted it) on those occasions where I can't carry my large frame autos or my k frame

Kel-Tec p3at 27/7, and carry the Colt every chance I get, mostly nights and weekends as I must deep conceal at work. I even try to give my Kel-Tec p11, S&W SW99OL, and my Sigma a little carry time.

I work in a hospital; no weapons allowed. That's 1/2 of my waking hours that I can't carry during the work week.

I don't always carry. My current CCW is very heavy, but I have a 642 on the way that should fix that. I always carry when I go hiking; I won't hike in areas where guns are illegal. It's like asking me to leave my map or knife behind.

Being that this is a gun forum, I'd say the results will be awefully skewed. Here in Seattle I'd guess that far less than 5% of the population carries. The average person is flamboyantly liberal, scared of guns around here.
