Let me try this again: make that 80.

Well, I just (FINALLY) got my membership packet a few days ago... along with a reminder to pay my membership dues.

WTF, over? I put my CC info on the application! If the NRA can't do even basic administrative stuff right, how in the hell can they handle the major issues?!

Their membership services people haven't replied to my message yet, 48 hours later. If they don't get it right, skroom.

I have been a member of the NRA throughout the (short) period that I have been shooting.
I, also, have felt annoyed by the endless requests to update my membership, some of them arriving within 90 days after I have done so.

What I have chosen to do instead of endlessly extending my membership is to send money directly to the NRA-ILA, and to their Political Action Committee. I am currently a student, and I had sworn that I would not make any political donations until I was working 40 hours a week again. However, the times are just too critical. I just sent the PAC a check which is one of the largest political donations I have ever made.

I agree with what was said above about the need for more progun activism in the media. However, the NRA cannot do it all themselves. All of us who know the truth as it has been documented by Lott, Kopel, and other researchers need to do our part to get these facts out in letters to the editor, guest editorials in our local papers, and in any other forum we can. The facts are overwhelmingly on our side, but getting them out is our responsibility.

I joined in 1961; got out of shooting for a while, shifted to New Zealand then to Australia.
After seeing what is happening out here,I rejoined the NRA, and will upgrade to Life as soon as possible.
If anyone out there doubts that the "antis" want ALL firearms removed from society; they better think again! If we don't fight harder than we have been, we're history!

Another one of the many. Life Member since '97, just upgraded to Endowment Member. Also member of GOA, SAF, and just joined CCRKBA.
With all these initials, don't you just feel important? :)

Right On!!!!!!
I signed up for three years!!!
After that I plan to sign up for three more!!

Just as there is no such thing as too much fun,
there is no such thing as owning just one gun!!!

Member for 20 years. Life member since about 1990. The only game in town as far as political influence is concerned. The worst game in town as far as marketing their product. Membership should be 5 to 10 million if they had any people who knew what they were doing. Member services are horrible. If they were a profit making business they would have filed bankruptcy years ago.

Life member since it cost $125.00 to become one, the mid '60's. Also a member of GOA, SAF , CCRKBA and LEAA. One thing the NRA had better become proactive and not so reactive if they are going to continue to be a force in the gun rights fight.

Life member since mid 80's. Thinking about upgrading to Endowment status but my money might be better spent joining another gun rights group. Any opinions on this?

Life member since I was 8[Grandfather joined me up!]. I have since upgraded to ENDOWMENT level. People can ALWAYS find problems with ANY org., the trick is working to make it better. The NRA is the best[most effective] Gun rights Org availible to us! Join NOW!
