How many guns this year?

Stopped at a LGS on my way home from work today, my pocket was a little heavy from burning off some scrap copper this past weekend. Lightened it for a little single shot 22 lever that brought back fond memories of my adolescence with a friend who I still find the time to go shooting and to gun shows with at least a couple times a month.

That puts me at seven by the beginning of April for the year so far.
I might top last year at this rate... that could be good or bad depending on your perspective.

Time to revive this thread for updates.

SO...
How many guns DID you buy, and did you stick to your plan?

---

Me?
Not, not at all.

Having just hit the "checkout" button on yet another, I can say that my prediction of "one" was incorrect.
I added more than five this year (exact number is classified ;)).
And the "80% 1911" never happened, and won't be happening before 2017.

I had planned on buying no more guns and it looked like it might work. However, I was given an old snub nose 38 special Saturday night special at no cost. It shoots and looks like new. I then traded and invested about $20 in a 1947 J. C. Higgins pump shotgun because it was made the same year I was born. I was doing pretty well until I ran across an ad for a Mossburg Blaze 47 22 semi-automatic last week. I actually bought a fake AK-47 for no reason and I love it.

Three guns in a year that I had planned on none is about par for the course.

Looks like I was building a spare upper when this thread was new.

Looks like I built an additional 300bo pistol, unplanned since my post here.

I only bought three. A S&W 629 classic 5". My wifes G26 she wanted for a long while and a Blonde paratrooper SKS from a buddy of mine. '17 WILL include a 357 of either gp100 or 686, a 9mm pistol/SBR. Maaaaybe a new shot gun.

Edit: I forgot I added a Dillon xl650 to the loadi g bench which darn near counts as a gun its self. :D

7 and counting

Sig P226 (Tysons Corner) in 9mm, Sig P226 in .40 S&W, & a P229 in .40 S&W Also acquired .357 Sig barrels for both the .40 S&W's.

2 S&W Model 10-5's

S&W .38 Safety Hammerless Third Model (.38 S&W)

S&W Model 66-2 with 2 & 1/2" barrel (.357 Magnum)

Added my expenditures up to include the extra barrels, new Rosewood Grips for the three Sigs, new Night Sights for two of the Sigs, Sig Factory Refinish on two of the Sig Slides, Wheeler Sight Pusher and two sets of reloading dies. The total came to $2,803.00 (rounded the pennies up to an even dollar amount) for the year so far. The total included sales tax and shipping cost where applicable. I think I got a lot for very little money. ;)

My original post was post 12. I said I was definitely getting a nice bolt action .22. Maybe an AK , 1911 , or any prelock S&Ws I could find at a good price.

Well I've since bought or traded for:

1. Ruger 77/22
2. CZ 452 American
3.colt M4
4. Springfield emp champion 9mm
5. S&W 66-2 2.5 inch
6. S&W 19-3 4 inch
7. Beretta Wilson combat brigadier tactical 92
8. Sig 229 elite 9mm with 22 conversion.
I've been a bad little monkey. I'll probably be on a purchase hiatus for awhile.

I clearly cannot stick to a plan. I bought a sig p220, beretta a400, Ruger SRH, O/U, and Enfield. I've since sold the Enfield and I'm looking to sell the SRH and the O/U. I will probably order a Remington 700P as a Christmas present to myself. If I do, I'll be looking to sell a 700 ADL in 30-06 and maybe a Ruger 1911.

So far, I have no plans to buy anything next year :D

This year I purchased a Walther PPS M2 and a Springfield XDS-40. I also bought 2 revolvers, a S&W Model 617 6" and a S&W Model 66 4". I sold a Beretta M9 and a Sig P320.

I also put a 5.56 together with a scope and fwd vertical handgrip.

I added 357 and 223 (carbide 223s) reloading dies and caliber conversion kits for my RL 550B.

I bought all of that stuff from my LGS - I'm expecting a nice Xmas card instead of the usual stick-on-fridge calendar.

Next year I'm planning on a 1911.

What's a fellow to do? I bought 3 guns this year after I planned buying none and now I have made an offer to buy a rough but good functioning 12 gauge shotgun today. I will know tomorrow if I made another useless purchase. Just bought a semi-auto 22 to go with one I already had and now I may but another 12 gauge pump to go with another I already have. What's wrong with me?

There's nothing wrong with you osbornk. You could waste money on much more useless items. Such as food and shelter.

Earlier this year I had decided to buy/build an AR and was starting to look at a few options. Then one day just out of nowhere I decided to go a completely different direction, and bought an LCR .357.

Then I wanted a rifle in the same caliber so I bought a Henry carbine. Then I wanted a bigger .357/.38 so that I could shoot it more while practicing reloading. Fifty rounds of anything through the LCR is more than enough.

But while I was looking for a GP100 to examine I stumbled across a new BHP, so I bought that. REALLY like that gun.

Then I bought a new GP100 4", and I like that too. So four guns so far, probably done for this year but you just never know.

I bought a new shotgun early this year, got scared when election time neared and bought an AR just in case. Oh well, it looks good in my safe.

Glockstar .40.: the plan was (by selling three lonely rifles plus their ammo) to buy two AK clones. Bought them, and one is a Mak 90.

OP:
Have you considered modifying your question Since the Nov. election, regarding the panic which was cancelled?

On a different note, I realize that a huge number of people live in Socialist US states which are being over-regulated to death.

I'm worse than I thought. I didn't buy a rough 12 gauge shotgun, I bought a new Mossberg 500 12 gauge combo unit with 3 choke tubes and a slug barrel. I got it just because I wanted it. I went from no Mossbergs to 2 new ones in under 2 weeks.
