Most of the time IWB at 4 o'clock (Para CCW,G32, SP101,G33,or S&W360) ). Occasionally IWB appendix with belt clip(Para CCW,G33, or S&W 360). Always a NAA or P32 in front pants pocket. PF9 for coat pocket.
Let me think where have I not carried a pistol.
I have carried one in a fanny pack on the side a few times.
Where I carry kind of depends on the pistol.
I have carried IWB or OWB, front and back pocket, left side and right side, it didn't matter.
I practiced drawing and shooting with either hand.
But since I went blind in my left eye, I shoot only with my right hand.
Most of the time I carry behind the back.
I only place I haven't carried was in an ankle holster.
I have used a Covert Carrier with my .32 Seecamp for years. Absolutely the best! They are made for larger guns, but I've never tried them. Work with the shirt tucked in, and I don't even know I'm carrying. Many times getting ready for bed I realize I still have it on.
I checked Side Fanny pack but it is a Concealed Carry Bag carried cross chest. I am usually in a wheelchair and this is the best way for me to concealed carry and have fast unobstructed access.
Most of the time I'll carry at 4 o'clock OWB/IWB depending on the weather. When it gets too warm for that -- or I should say too warm and the clothing too thin, then it's time to alternate.
I find the Smartcarry/Thunderwear concept works well for me. Especially in pleated slacks one waistsize larger for the extra room (not required if you're skinny). Even in jeans and a t-shirt, you'd have to look really hard to figure it out. Any of my J-frames will disappear below the belt-line with boot grips. It also makes for a good back-up gun carry solution.
I live in Florida, too, and I carry a 4" Kimber as my primary with a S&W J frame for a BUG. My pants are usually jeans, and my shirt is usually a loose straight cut or a scrub shirt. The Kimber is in a Galco OWB strong side thumb break rig, and the Smith is in a pocket holster in my R/F pocket. As far as I know neither one has ever been spotted.
Oh yeah, I carry a spare magazine in a nylon folding knife belt case.
Cross draw all the time. Works standing up, sitting down, flat on your back on the ground. Works in a car or on a motorcycle. Makes it harder for someone else to grab. I hate clip on holsters or knives. I want it firmly attached to my belt until I take it off. Whatever you use always use the same position so when you reach for it you know it will be there.
I usually carry via a "Smartcarry" holster. Think of this as a very slim "fanny pack" worn underneath clothing.
My configuration would be front right with 3/4 of grip above the waistline. This CCW holster is designed to carry below the waistline (in terms of grip concealment), but I wear mine a bit high in order to facilitate more optimal weapon acquirement.
Actually i don't because it sits back behind my arm and is pushed against my body tight.I didn't think it would but it's comfortable and doesn't print. You can see in this pic how i normally carry it and how it sits tight againt me.
I voted front. I however have different ways depending on what I am carrying and how or I guess what I am wearing actually. In hot weather its either a Glock 26 appendix @ 1:00 IWB or a M38 in right from pocket. If I need to tuck my shirt I carry the 26 at 11:00 in a Smart carry.
Right side waist at ~3:30 OWB. Kimber UCDP in a Don Hume JIT Slide is my holy grail; found about 3 or 4 years ago and haven't wanted to change anything. T-shirts worn out was my only change over 30 years of tucked in tees. It was worth it. Always have the P32 as BUG in right back pocket of shorts, also.
