how to win?

The same way we "won" in Vietnam, where we declared victory and got out. Of course this time, we can't leave.

You want to use drugs??? I say, go ahead. That's just more money for me, since you'll be too hopped up on weed, speed, or whatever else to get the job I'm also interviewing for! Life is a competition. You have a right to be a loser in this country! Not everyone can be a winner! Say YES to drugs!

A friend of mine works for SUN MICROSYSTEMS. She told me that IF they did drug testing, SEVENTY PERCENT OF THE COMPANY WOULD FAIL. So they don't. They just turn a blind eye and continue to make OODLES OF MONEY. Both the company AND their employees. And that's in SLC, UTAH!

So much for that argument. Sorry.

How to lose the war on Drugs.

Every time an actor goes to rehab, we lose a little.
Every time a politician admits to addiction, we lose a little.
Every time a judge grants probation or a commuted sentance to an addict or a dealer, we lose a bit.
How do we win? We take it out of the limelight. Drugs show up in rock music, tv, movies, politics, sports, and every major venue of our society.
The simple fact is that movie producers and rock stars make drugs look okay, and people (especially young ones) emulate the stars. Until that stops, we can't win.
