Hillary is Running

sec-def- it was what she said and there was a back lash then.

Just remember what they said in New york. lots of cars have a sticker that read "run Hillary, run"

If it's on the back of your car, you're a democrat. If it's on the front you're a republican.

sec-def- it was what she said and there was a back lash then.

Didn't deny she said it. Some backlash, huh? Her current approval rating is 74% in NYC, 58% nationwide.

Anyways, backlash doesn't mean she won't get support, merely that they didn't like that statement.

Do you think Mitt Romney could beat her?

He did win the Governorship in the most Liberal State in the USA...
Where they have a "no handguns" law and...
they continually re-elect Ted Kennedy...
and he still won the election rather handily... ;)

After all, maybe that State is tired of always being the place where...
"Dukakis happens". :D

A friend sent me this,

THIS WILL OPEN YOUR EYES!
By Paul Harvey
Conveniently Forgotten Facts.
Back in 1969 a group of
Black Panthers decided that a
fellow black panther named
Alex Rackley needed to die.
Rackley was suspected of
disloyalty. Rackley was first
tied to a chair.

Once safely immobilized,
his friends tortured him for
hours by, among other things,
pouring boiling water on him.

When they got tired of torturing
Rackley, Black Panther member,
Warren Kimbo took Rackley
outside and put a bullet in his
head.
Rackley's body was later
found floating in a river
about 25 miles north of
New Haven, Connecticut.
Perhaps at this point you're
curious as to what happened
to these Black Panthers?

In 1977, that's only eight years
later, only one of the killers was
still in jail.

The shooter, Warren Kimbro,
managed to get a scholarship
to Harvard and became good
friends with none other than
Al Gore.

He later became an
assistant dean at an
Eastern Connecticut State
College.

Isn't that something?

As a '60s radical you can
pump a bullet into someone's
head and a few years later,
in the same state, you can
become an assistant college dean!

Only in America !
Erica Huggins was the woman
who served the Panthers by
boiling the water for
Mr. Rackley's torture.

Some years later Ms. Huggins
was elected to a
California School Board.
How in the world do you think
these killers got off so easily?

Maybe it was in some part due
to the efforts of two people who
came to the defense of the
Panthers.

These two people actually
went so far as to shut down
Yale University with
demonstrations in defense
of the accused Black Panthers
during their trial.

One of these people was
none other than
Bill Lan Lee.
Mr. Lee, or Mr. Lan Lee,
as the case may be,
isn't a college dean.

He isn't a member of a
California School Board.

He is now head of the
United States
Justice Department's
Civil Rights Division,

appointed by none other than
Bill Clinton.
O.K., so who was the other
Panther defender?

Is this other notable Panther
defender now a school board
member?

Is this other Panther apologist
now an assistant college dean?
No, neither!
The other Panther defender was,
like Lee, a radical law student at
Yale University at the time.

She is now known as
The "smartest woman in the world."

She is none other than the
Democratic senator from the
State of New York----
our former First Lady,
the incredible Hillary Rodham Clinton.
And now, as Paul Harvey said;
"You know the rest of the story".
Pass this on!

This deserves the
widest possible press.

Also remember it, when,
she runs for President

If I ran an ISP I would put a link to snopes in every ridiculous email passed through my servers. I might as well start selling get rich quick tapes on here for all the people that buy into this stuff.

I do feel the need to at least point out that the prior post is completely unsubstantiated hogwash.
Even according to Snopes these things did in fact happen... and the Panthers named did do the torture-murder mentioned.

They were, however, misrepresented...in the above post #65. A little like the quote above which paints the ENTIRE post/report as "completely unsubstantiated hogwash".

Hillary Rodham (Now Senator Clinton) was not a lawyer representing the Panthers... She was a Yale Law student who did, in fact, help the ACLU to organize the protest by some 12,000 Panthers and their supporters...

It is, also, noteworthy that Paul Harvery did not air this on his radio show...

It is, somewhat dubiously, claimed that the protest did not shut Yale down... classes were made optional for the duration of the protests...

She helped organize students to help the ACLU to monitor civil rights violations. ". . . nobody has offered evidence that either one of them led, or even participated in, any student demonstrations or protests in support of the Black Panthers."

Your 5th grade teacher is in fact weeping at your reading comprehension skills.

Your 5th grade teacher is in fact weeping at your reading comprehension skills.
Why must you make it personal... it is the sign of a weak... position.
Will your argument not stand on it's own merit?

My reading comprehension not withstanding...?

It's a cinch Rodham was not there to keep the peace and police the Panthers... Her purpose was to make sure they were "protected" from whatever she and her comrades could consider, or translate into, a civil rights violation against the down trodden Black Panther murderers and their all-knowing supporters.

The fact remains that she did assist in the protestation... regardless what guise the ACLU put on it...

The fact is the Black Panthers did commit the crime of which they were accused... the fact that a couple of them got off on technicalities... or "worked a deal" to turn states evidence nothwithstanding.

QUESTION: By what means do we check on the credibility of SNOPES?

http://www.snopes.com/politics/clintons/panthers.asp

What so-called "authority" vouches that they are politically neutral? Or even correct?

Perhaps it is... Nation Magazine...? Or Rolling Stone...?

I think perhaps "good sense" should temper the results... especially of 5th grade "reading comprehension". :p

It's a cinch you are pulling things out of your ass. Most likely she was there because it was a high profile case and she would get a chance to work with real lawyers.

The fact remains that she did assist in the protestation...

And there is evidence of this where? BTW, you don't get to use snopes, or references cited therin, or any left or right leaning publications, since you have asserted that they can't be trusted as authorities. And you have shown that we certainly can't trust YOU. I suppose you can use internet chain letters.

The fact is the Black Panthers did commit the crime of which they were accused... the fact that a couple of them got off on technicalities... or "worked a deal" to turn states evidence nothwithstanding.

The admitted shooter was given a deal by the DA. The others were given a fair trial. Clinton had zero to do with that, and saying she did is hogwash.

QUESTION: By what means do we check on the credibility of SNOPES?

References cited help for one. They give you the ability to look it up. Second, they have spent years establishing this site as pretty straightforward, and have updates it as appropriate as more information comes out. And gosh, unlike you, the site debunks myths regardless of political persuasion.

Seriously, you have a problem with me for pointing out that a chain letter that was shown to be fabricated? WTF is your problem? It is intentionally misleading and makes many statements of fact that are demonstrably false. Hogwash is a perfectly descriptive term for it. I would have done a point by point analysis, but instead pointed to a site that had already done it and was more credible than me.

Please don't reply with more statements of fact that are unsupported. It is unbecoming and makes you look irrationally rabid.

Lordy, I don't even LIKE Hillary and you've got me defending her.

You are still being personal...

You jump to conclusions that I never evidenced...

You only want to spit invectives and pick a fight...

You are clearly unwilling to discuss these things rationally... and you are ill mannered.

"So... Later for you." (Much later) :(
