Hated calibers

I hate 9mm, thats only because came to close to getting hit by a few ricochet one day out ine the desert around Buckeye, Az. Tracked down the site after spent hour or two in a dryed creek bed and found the shells and the target of sheet metal.

I hate 40 S&W, looks too much like 45ACP brass, when I'm scrounging at the range. I'm too fat to be bending over for it...... Now I'd walk over broken glass barefooted for some once fired 45 brass.:D:D:D40s&w:barf:

hate is a pretty strong term but I dislike anything with GAP in it, the .357sig (whats wrong w/the old 38 super?) and I'm not particularly fond of the .40, (I dig the 10mm.)

I don't HATE any caliber at all, and I like them to stay the course forever. More calibers mean more choices, and more choices mean more people may get interested.

I don't intend to ever buy a .40S&W, .25ACP, or even a .357 Sig (though I think that round is pretty cool) due to needs, but I don't hate them at all. I think the closest I've come to sounding like that is when I said, .40, the 10mm for pansies.:D

I have two, and only because they present a hassle in the reloading stage, that is both the 9x18 and the .380....I load a lot of nine, and when sweeping up the range and reloading the odd .380 and 9x18 gets mixed into the brass and then find you have made a 9mm load in a .380 case or a 9x18 and its stuck in the sizer die.

I wish they would die out, (i know) but they are a pain

Folks,I have a Ruger Bisley Single Six in 32 H=R and I really enjoy 32 S+W wadcutters,Fiochi's,thru it.Nice, fun plinking round and I am sure it would knock down a charging cottontail.
My grandfather was a mild gentleman who lived in Chicago many years ago and he carried one of those little Colt .25's .
Not much,I agree.I like .44's and .45's.But,doggone if you need a gun it is way better than no gun.

I think the .45 GAP is the only handgun cartridge I could really work myself into hatin'. It's a solution in search of a problem.

I don't really hate any cartridges, though. I DO have some distinct preferences, but hate is reserved for more serious affairs.

No.

I don't hate any caliber.

Because I realize that just because I don't see any reason in it's existence there are fifty people elsewhere that love using the round and do.

Hate? No not hate....But I have never grown to appreciate the .40 S&W. Although I have to agree with others, if ever a cartridge screamed "hate me", it would have to be the .25:barf:

Don't hate any, just don't trust some to do what they were designed to do. Two years ago a cop in my hometown (phoenix,az) had to shoot a pit bull 9 times with a .40 S&W before it went down, one of the rounds actually bounced off of its head! Ever since then I have been skeptical about any round that does not hit at least 1200 fps for SD

I love all cartridges. :p

Oh, wait. I hate 7mm Shooting Times Westerner! That *** ****** 7mm Shooting times Westerner!!! What kind of round is named after a gun rag?

:D

Something I wonder about (other than whether I can retire before I'm 85) is how come some calibers inspire rants, while others never do. I mean, I have a .40 "short and weak", and while it won't send 300 grains of lead out at 1,200 fps like my .45, it doesn't seem all that weak. And a lot more folks garmouth the .327 mag than have ever shot one. But nobody ever speaks ill of the .45 ACP. Me neither, but if I want more punch than the .40, I'll keep the bore size and add powder--10mm. The point is, I can see really enjoying a certain caliber, and passing on others, but why hate 'em?

I would love to see a 300 grain .45 ACP that will travel at 1,200 fps. If this is some new SUPER bullet, then sign me up.

Then you would be skeptical of every factory load .45 ACP ever produced. I've never seen one that would reach a velocity of 1,200fps.

Let's see... A cop who shot at a fast moving, nimble, medium sized dog. Were the shots center mass? Was the "bounced" head shot actually a glancing shot? One-In-A-Million stories like these serve no purpose whatsoever.
